Eager: "Close to 100%"

"It wasn't so much a concussion as it was leftover effects from last year's long playoff run and not having that long a summer,'' Eager said. ''I didn't feel right when I came back, and I felt I needed some time off.''
Quote:
Quenneville said it would be ''overly optimistic'' to think Eager could play in the next game, Thursday at Phoenix.
This is good news. Let's hope he'll be back Friday vs. the Avs.

Great news. It looks like the Hawks will have a near full roster by their West Coast road trip. Hossa, Eager, Toews, and Seabrook should be back by the time I see the Hawks in back to back to back Anaheim, LA and SJ games.

This topic confused me since we don't play on Sunday or against the Oilers.

But yeah Ebbett sucks.

Whoops. I misread the schedule. We play the Av's on Friday and the Kings the following Monday.

Ebbett isn't that bad for a waiver claim. He just doesn't belong anywhere above the fourth line.

I think he's in denial, because having a history of concussions and playing the game he does makes it tough. I honestly expect he's going to be one of the guys whose career is cut really short by concussions.

Agree - when I first read that I had to re-read it because I thought he couldn't have said that. If it were some other issue - like a personal problem or something - fine I can understand a young guy going off the tracks and then getting his #### back together - but too tired from the extra games in the playoffs - c'mon, that's hard to accept.

I think he was concussed so much that he doesn't ever remember having the concussions.

He dosen't belong on the fourth line either.

I'm not sold on Eager being back, if at all this year, but if he is looking good, I say Ebbett is the first one to go.

Honestly I haven't missed Eager much this year. If he is healthy and can play like he did last year then good but if he doesn't look good out there we can move on

Brouwer has stepped up his game both offensively and physically so having a 4th line of Kopecky-Fraser-Brouwer when Hossa comes back isn't a bad option.

Eager reminds me of Billy bob from Not Another Teen Movie when the football scoreboard took a stat for every concussion he got, lol. Really hope he can set these concussion problems aside because no one wants to have their career end like that. It's going to be hard though with the type of game he plays.

IMO, he's just to slow of a skater for this team.
