We actually face a team with a worse PK than ours, holy ****.

Preds win 3-2, Horny the GWG.

Well let's see we get Arnott and Toots back... but lose JP, Weber, Wilson And still no Erat.

Gotta hope Rinne (If he is starting) plays out of his mind.

I predict we win this game, and that Wilson scores a goal.

And yes, I know Wilson is not playing.

I don't know why I seem to be the only one that finds it irresponsible to go into game day with only 18 available skaters.

What if someone pulls a muscle lacing up their skates? Points are too valuable to risk playing with 17 skaters for no good reason.

I cannot believe someone wasn't called up for this game as insurance.

I have no idea what our lineup is going to look like, so I just threw together a massive hunch and posted it.

This ought to be a good game.

wooohoo! Milwaukee versus Anaheim!

Ugh... not feeling good about this one at all. I have a feeling we are going to get outshot something like 40-20

We need this game, injuries or not. The trip just gets harder. And if theres any team in the west we can put pucks in the net against it's Anaheim this season, so if our D can step up with webs out I'm pretty sure we can pull out a 3-1 tonight.

Jared if you don't score tonight I hate you again. j/k, but seriously...score.

we're gonna win this one 9-2.

Smithson with 5 [3 shorthanded]
Greg Johnson will assist on 4 of them

1 from Arnott, 2 from Crispy, and 1 from Ward.

Well, Olvecky is back with Milwaukee and the lines from practice in Anaheim yesterday were posted...

Sullivan - Arnott - Hornqvist
Smithson - Legwand - Ward
Scatchard - Santorelli - Thuresson
Belak - Goc - Tootoo

Expect the fourth line to get limited minutes with the top 3 rotating through. Will probably see an adjustment as the game progresses to rotate in the players that are performing while sorting out those that need their minutes limited...

Also, expect to see major minutes for the top 4 defensemen as well with Franson getting PP time and Sulzer maybe getting some PK time. Really don't think we'll see the two rookies out there together that much at even-strength...

Rinne starts in goal...

you are not the only one who feels that way. This is one of the worst decisions I have ever seen.

And has Smithson not been performing? Sure it is a short-term solution, but it seems to be a short-term issue as well. Erat is scheduled to return Saturday. Who else did you want playing up there?

He had a shorthanded goal on the PK, and another into an empty net. I'm not sure I'd call that consistent offensive "performance." If I were choosing, I would likely try either Scatchard or Thuresson, both of which I believe have better offensive instincts than Smithers.

And don't forget about his first goal off an assist from Legwand...

Smithson is playing well, he is playing aggressive, yet responsible hockey, he finishes his checks and goes to the hard areas, I think he will do just fine on this line.

I do agree though that Thuresson has more offensive instincts, Scatchard is about even. One of the most frustrating things I've seen with Smithson though is that he prefers to have his back turned and facing the boards when he has control of the puck along the boards. I'm sure he does it to protect the puck, but it really limits his vision and passing abilities and also completely eliminates him as a threat to score while carrying the puck...

Not Scatchard, I must be one of the only fans who doesn't like this guy. He's not fast enough to keep up with the play, he forechecked and stood in front the first game he played but hasn't done either since then. I'd rather have Smithson up there than him. Thuresson I doubt it, our rookies on the top lines experiments fail miserably, I don't see another option.

I haven't got to see Thuresson play yet and I don't really know much about him. What type of player is he? What kind of future does he have?
