Man I've never seen a goalie look so pissed after a shootwin. Was like "THATS RIGHT MOTHER****ERS!! GET THAT **** OUT OF HERE!! THIS IS MY HOUSE."

Gord Miller was pretty awful in this game, "both these teams are having trouble scoring goals" when the habs had 4 goals in each of their last 2 games. Habs went from having "5 shootout wins and an OT win", to being "5-0 after regulation" to finally being "6-0 with 4 OT wins and 2 Shootout wins".

Definitely. This is a no-brainer. After a game like that (and especially if there's any doubt about the other guy's condition), you give him a chance to keep up the momentum and build the confidence. A confident Price is among the toughest to beat in any given game among goalies today.

Yeah but do those goalies have to play that way with 4 starting D players and a couple of first game call ups on the road against the division winner last year?

I think not

True that, when he lost the draw, I covered my eyes, and listened and it happened, Price played great, I also like the kids, especially Carle, wow he really stepped up. A win is a win, and in march it won't matter which way you got it.

Everything else being equal (injuries, sickness, level of performance lately), I agree. However, there are times when you have to ride the hot goalie.

I was thinking the same thing, but last change and extra guy from the pulled goalie thing are hard to deal with. If there was any doubt about the strength in his shoulder though, they shouldn't have had him out. Maybe short bench and the fact that Hammer and Carle were just out there (I think) means we just got unlucky and got burned.

Great point

Hamr is logging heavy minutes and still getting the job done. I hope observant fans remember this

People have been saying the same about Ovie, and others but nothing ever happens. I didn't think Lapierre was a bad fighter though, don't know why he wouldn't drop them. Hoiopefully it was only because we were winning

they'll blame Andrei because he had a couple giveaways and price because he lost the shutour on a mad scramble.

Both played well, although Andrei had some big problems getting the puck out of the defensive zone tonight...
