I understand what you're saying and, while I tend to be a fairly positive poster, I also understand those who are critical: we all care very passionately about "what it looks like" and "how you got there." If we didn't talk about that, there'd be nothing to fill all this white space in the reply box. Some of it is stupid and some of it is rational and some of it is very funny, but all of that is why we waste so much time here - we do care. Just saying "yea" after a win and "boo" after a loss is not enough fun, even for an old guy like me.

There's still a place for you on the blueline if you feel like coming back, number 6.

(we just might not pay you 4.3 million a year)

I couldn't even get excited about that game as a fan with the amount of people in those stands. I can't imagine how hard it was to get pumped up for that game as players. That was the least amount of people in the stands I have ever seen..no way was there 10k in the stands, probably half of that.

That says 10,878. But obviously, that's tickets sold and not actual people there.

It did start to fill up as the game progressed.

But when the game first started, there had to be, at most, 4,000 people.

What a sad sight that arena was last night.

What I don't understand is HOW ownership can afford to keep the team there, or get players to want to come there and play hard.

They got a 53 mil cap hit. Ours is 50.

They have some pretty well paid players, including 4 Defenseman making $13.8 million, --and not playing particularly well.

Contrast that to our TOP FOUR Defenseman making just $10.75 mil this year.

Would Stralman have to change his number again?

Nah it would probably be open in Syracuse if he made it through waivers.

Think he'd freak when the team came to him and said "Here's your new jersey with your new number."?
"8, huh?"

First Whitney and now Hainsey? I'd rather have Strahlman! Hainsey drove me absolutely crazy while he was here, so I'm not among those who'd welcome him back.

It was a joke about Stralman's jersey number switching from 5 to 6. When it was posted I thought the poster was referencing his lineup spot. I liked Hollywood when he was here but don't miss him.

Wow, that's awesome about Dorsett. The way he had so much trouble getting off the ice, I thought he might be looking at an extended break.
