so, I'm pretty sure that unbiasedly most of us are not fans of the barberpole jersey, just alone what recent memories it bring back: the vision of our season ending in a single tendon slice.
When I went to the link, I though I'd be looking at our actual jersey, not one we've worn twice ...in the last decade. I think they are overlooking that these jerseys weren't designed even close to in this decade and that they are throwback jerseys to celebrate our past. I prefer our usual 3rd jersey, i.e the white jersey with the blue stripe, even though the numbers are hard to see. Either way, they were comparing apples and oranges. At least when it comes to actual jerseys, I think it's pretty universal that we have the coolest.
#1 Yahoo sports is clearly in search of content... and nothing is more effective at getting reaction than slagging the most historically successful NHL team
#2 The barber pole jersey was only worn as a tribute to the past generations of Hab teams on the 100 birthday
#3 The jersey was cool in that it made a person reimagine the game of hockey in the early part of the 20th century
#4 It was intriguing... and now its over
ps. Yahoo sports should be thanking the Habs for giving them garbage to write about
Clearly you didn't read the intro:
"(No, the first decade of the 21st century doesn't technically end until 2011. Save your bellyaching. But we've had nine NHL seasons and one stolen from us since 1999-2000, and Yahoo! Sports has decided it's time to rank the best and worst of the last "decade." Enjoy, and snark freely in the comments.)"
no need to "search" for content. all of Yahoo is doing year end stuff
