you can only get each strain once, as long as you didn't live under a rock as a child you should have immunity to a whole crap load of variant strains. to have "the flu 5 times in one season" (i am assuming you mean flu season, Dec-April) would mean that you got a new strain once a month meaning you are either a hermit who came out of their hole, or immunodeficient. in all likelihood you were infected with the flu once and had subsequent complications which needed specific treatment.
haha yea. Getting the flu is just as good as getting its vaccine, actually better. You arent getting that again unless you have a B-cell deficiency. In which case youd know about it...
I am not sure if others can attest to similar results as mine but it seems every time i get the flu shot i end up getting the Flu.
I have had the shot three times that i can remember, and each year contracted the Flu, havnt had the shot in 4 years, havnt had the flu in 4 years.
I would prefer for the team to take turns with the flu, 4-5 at a time, for a week until the whole team has gone through it, that way they are less suseptable to have it when its crunch time.
There are different strains each year for the most part. The vaccine issued is a guess at which strain will become the most prevelant. They flat out missed two years ago, I think they got it right this year. The actual vaccine for the H. Flu is dead, so you cant get the flu from it. The H1N1 nasal is live, obviously you shouldnt get it from it, but if you have a immune disorder you may, maybe. The shot H1N1 is dead.
