You are incorrect sir......I did watch it several times.....the puck would have been wide if it was not deflected.

Am I the only one who LOL'd at Zad calling for a rational discussion?

Honestly.

-the WHOLE team needs to play a full 60 minutes +
-that early PK took all of our energy, which is no excuse.
-the turnovers were very lazy, like most are.
-Brown I thought was trying to hard with those silly moves.
-I don't recall any player standing out tonight. It was all pretty even during the first and second (which I don't mind) and then it just stopped at the third. (WHICH I DO!)

Lets just say, more negatives than positives in this one.

Ah yes, no whining. Feels good

Next game to Carolina, hopefully we can get it together in time.

EDIT: I guess I shouldn't point just out Brown like that. There were other players who were not at the top of their game again. This is another loss.

Deflected shots are the hardest to read, not the hardest to stop.

Secondary scoring please. This team needs a 1-2 punch down the middle. Frolov and Brown need to be the wingers. Get to work, Dean.

Honestly boys, this game highlighted why Frolov won't be around next season. He is either a top 6 forward or he's not. If he's not, he has to be ready to accept 3 years, 2.5 million. If he is, he needs to play like one.

I don't know if I really needed a reason to have an extra beer tonight, but the game gave me a good shove in the extra beer direction.

You gotta remember how much time is left in the season....
There is still a looooooong road to go. WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THIS IS STILL A YOUNG TEAM THAT STILL LACKS SOME EXPERIENCE! You will see alot of inconsistency with this team.

EDIT: Our goaltending have TONS of ups and downs so we will have to wait and see.

Sorry, Frolov doesn't get that pass. JJ, Doughty, Simmonds, et al. do but not Frolov. He has been around long enough to figure it out. Sometimes I think our expectations of him are too high and that very well may be.

We hit 3 post, 2 by Stoll.
Doughty had another great hipcheck
Kopitar extended his points lead.

We quit after it was 2-1, unlike the Pens game when we came right back and took it to them.

We must get better at beating Central Division teams. They have beat us at least 4 times this year.

Yeah, he looks like he's playing hurt. I might be giving him the benefit of the doubt, but even when he had the puck, he looked slow...like Handzus-hurt-slow, not totally lethargic.

His play WITHOUT the puck, on the other hand...that could be hurt or lazy or both. There were a few occasions where he was a step or two away from an opponent and just didn't even try to close the gap. shrug.

We will just wait and see. I got money that he turns out to be another Cammy and he will go to Thrashers if anything. But there is always something that I like about Frolov. Is it his puck control? I dunno, but I just cannot see him moving out of this club. Something HAS to motivate him? What could it be?

The game looked pretty good right up to the point where i left at the beginning of the third. Something must have went terribly wrong.
I thought Quick looked decent except for that first goal throughout the first two, although the third might have been a different story.

Chicago is a good team and once they contain the first line that would be more than half the battle.
I do prefer Fro with Brown. I believe that gives the potential for some balanced scoring.
Parse seems to be skating himself to a much bigger role on the team where Purcell seems to be losing time.

Though did Purcell really play that bad of a game? Yeah we lost and I don't think anyone really played good but he did skate well. Simmonds is another one who has done NOTHING lately..

Deportation...Russian mafia...No more sweater shopping on Rodeo drive should be enough to make him play consistantly.
