not if he was on the post like he should have been. Thats an obvious thing all goalies should do at that angle.

Low hard shot from between the hash marks, glove side. That is where snipers go.

I disagree......quick reflexes can beat any shot.....but if it changes directions at the least possible moment there is not enough time to react.

5 years of playing goal and most of my colleagues disagree with you.

i agree about frolov.

what i'm surprised by is that no one has mentioned the basic fact of this game: the hawks outworked the kings. they won the battles for loose pucks, they were very strong on the boards, and they just played all-around better, even before the third period. at that point, the wheels fell off. so i went for a cycle, which was lovely, thanks. the kings kept it close in the first and second but never really had any sustained pressure.

the lesson i hope the team takes away from this is that you actually have to work. as cliche as it sounds, if they don't bring intensity and work ethic each night, they're going to lose, whether it's to a not-so-good team (nashville) or a good team (chicago).

i never talk about goaltenders. EVER. it usually takes a lot for me to really criticize them. give me this one.
I think you need to watch it again. Sharp's shot was clearly wide before Brouwer deflected it.

Old school coach. You take the good with the bad, sending out our goon when the team is down 3 goals is the bad.

Comic relief.

Glad I missed both of these games. Oh well. It's a long season and I'm not gonna push a panic button.

Yup. It's a head scratcher for sure. I have seen faster midgets on skates and the girl's figure skating team with more hockey sense. He is the definition of a waste of space.

And it's Ivanans.

I always like snappers across the grain high stick side.

Of course maybe that's why I'm not known as a high scoring threat!

I don't think anybody here is.

But when we look at the standings during the last week of the season we are going to remember how the Kings failed to get a point or two out of games like these.

Wonder what a vets day flight to Raliegh costs.
It might be fun to rain on your solo parade.

pfft.

Easy shot to save. A natural save for a right handed goalie.

I managed to miss both the last two games also... Phew!

PLAYOFFS... you were talking Playoffs!!! In the immortal words of Big Jim Mora...
"I just hope we can win a game!"

Talk about rationale...

Oh and back on topic... I liked the Brown Zues Fro line too... they really seemed to be clicking. Oh well, the wonderful world of 'Murphy line changes' woo whoo!
