Iginla challenged any player on the bench to fight

As per Tony Marinaro on the Team 990, Iginla came up to the Habs bench last night and told the players:

''I will fight any of you now or between now and the end of the game''

He basically challenged the whole bench! - LOL

I have no idea why Iginla would do that?

The Flames were playing great, and certainly didn't need any kind of boost.

I love Iggy.

If I was a fourth liner I would have taken him up on that offer, even if I had my nose broken. I takes Iginla off the ice for 5 minutes.... seems worth it to me.

If this is sarcasm, save it!

The moral to the story is that the only guy that has the balls to do anything constantly has problems with his back because he is overweight and never comes to camp in shape or ready to go.

Bouchard said it as soon as it happened cause he heard it between the benches, not really surprised about the fact that no one challenged him

No BGL wasn't in the lineup but if there's any truth to this story, JM should have tapped on the shoulders of any one of Moen, White, Mara, Leach, Lats, Lappy, etc to fight Iginla just to get him off the ice for 5 minutes.

even if laraque was in the lineup, he would have to get iginla to sign a legal contract which explains his code, then go over it with him word for word... the game would be over by then.

Iginla stopped and said something to the Habs bench,Bouchard right away said it on air that Iginla has just challenged any Habs player to a fight

Because Iginla isn't that much of a *********, and Montreal players like Mara, Moen and a few others not afraid to fight would LOVE to get Calgary's best player off the ice for 5 minutes.
That's true. We saw the incident during the game and was also explained by Joel Bouchard.

If I was Mara, I wouldn't be scared to fight Iginla.

Wonder if the coach told them not to go. I can't imagine a Leach or a Pyatt wouldn't have jumped at the chance to make an impression.

If that's true I don't know how someone didt fight him. It gets their beat player off the ice for 5 min. and it shows your team you're willing to stand up to him

I'd like to see Iginla try that next time they play Edmonton and Souray is back. I'm sure the Habs fans would love to see Souray bury his fist in Iggies classy face, I know I would.

This is why we need Laraque on the team...

Actually if Laraque was there yesterday I dont think he would have said anything to the bench he would have said hi politely and waved
