Quote:
Three game losing streaks are unnacepptable. I know it. You know it.

The Kings know it.

Though technical difficulties kept the fans from seeing the first 30 seconds of action, the Kings experienced no such difficulty in defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2.

Erik Ersberg got his first win of the season against a Hurricanes team that needs to do some heavy duty soul-searching or lineup shuffling or tasering therapy or something, because they stink.

We needed to get a W.

Good game all around.

Who sits for Jones next game?

Imagine Quick with all his current abilities, plus Ersberg's rebound control.

I have to think Randy Jones earned another game and will remain in the lineup against the Thrashers. Nothing against O'D, but you just can't take out a guy that gets a goal and assist in his debut with the team.

Jones had a simple game with a couple points. If he keeps it up, even without the points, I don't see a problem.

I only saw the 3rd period but I can't for the life of me seeing Jones stay in the lineup again...

can't say I wasn't worried. Kings have a knack for ending other teams losing streaks

People like to talk about the games you have to win, well this was one, Car and there 11 win less or whatever would have really hurt to blow 2-0 against them. Also while Ersberg played ok, he did give up a softie (2?) so I'm still a little worried. That being said it was good to see the secondary scoring tonite.

So does TM keep EE in the net against ATL?

I could get used to this periodically-swipe-a-good-defenseman-off-waivers strategy.

Nice goal by Jones, his old teammate Williams got him the puck like they know each other or something.

The Kings got away with two points...they did not play a good game if you ask me.

..but a win is a win .. I'm happy with that, but we will not win alot of games if we play like this.

PP sucked and our own defending zone was a no hitting area.. not by all players though.

Williams and Kopi was a bit of today.. that happens.

Brownie worked hard but he has to go on the net in PP which Zad pointed out.

We were "panicing" in our own zone and couhing up pucks all night long.

Has to improve or this will be a bad roadtrip.

To be fair that was EE's soft goal anyways....so not really their fault.

Jones only played 16 and change. That's a good number for him.

1. I like OD, but it was nice to have another mobile d-man back there. I assume they will rotate a bit.

2. So great to see no Ivanans, hopefully this will open Murray's eyes that you don't need a goon in the lineup every game. Ivanans should play 15-20 games a year, tops. Mostly agains our in-state rivals.

3. I bet Quick starts, Murray seems to be pretty loyal with his #1 goaltender. Look how long it took him to bench Labs.
