Let's see... we're like 3-7 in the last ten, and we have Drury and Dubinsky out.

534 - 2 Atlanta

My thoughts exactly. I always get excited when Kovalchuk comes to the garden. It's like when LeBron plays the Knicks. Wow, just realized it could be a great summer at the garden next year...

Agree with the Higgins hat trick, but I see the final score being a 6-1 otl. Just a gut feeling.

I expect a frustrating game to watch. Well, I don't think I'll win any prizes for that prediction.

The key is: will our PP continue to shine?

Pretty sure it was a joke. Just like the 6-1 otl prediction we always get. Its humor is in its impracticality.

Welp, my Niners are playing on Thursday Night Football. First priority... but I will be flicking back and forth. Also, the way they are playing lately, I may be finishing up with the Rangers game.

LGR!!! We need 2 points.

4-3 Rangers.

Gaborik with one, giving him identical numbers to last year. Prospal, Gilroy, and Rozsival with the others.

Rich gets the hat-trick for Atlanta.

Lundqvist starts...

Quote:
Henrik Lundqvist declared himself good to go for tonight’s game against Atlanta after this morning’s skate, saying he felt “pretty good.” Lundqvist, dealing with either a groin or a thigh issue, skated yesterday for the first time since the morning skate Saturday in Calgary. He’s missed the last two games, last playing in last Tuesday’s 4-1 loss at Vancouver, making 26 saves on 29 shots.
Lines tonight...

Quote:
Optional skate this morning with Enver Lisin (broken left foot), Christopher Higgins and defensemen Wade Redden and Marc Staal choosing instead to do off-ice work. No line rushes so it’s a safe bet John Tortorella will go with yesterday’s lines:
Lisin-Vinny Prospal-Marian Gaborik
Higgins-Artem Anisimov-Ales Kotalik
Sean Avery-Brian Boyle-Ryan Callahan.

That leaves Aaron Voros, Dane Byers and Donald Brashear as fourth-liners but none of those three will play center. Instead, there will be a lot of mix-and-matching and double shifting to get those guys whatever ice time Tortorella sees fit.

I think Kovalchuk loves playing in NY....just my opinion, didn't read it anywhere. He always seems to stand out in the Garden. And to decide and get kind of a last minute flight to NY to try and play kind of says something to me

I remember an interview with Kovy where he said he doesn't care about success in Atlanta. He just plays there because he makes some good money and FLA has a good climate. The Sbornaja is enough to have some success, because, "I believe in Russia", Kovy said.
That being said, I don't think he will move to cold, windy NYC.
I'm trying to find the source for that interview.....

Do we really need to call someone up to play the probable 4 or 5 minutes those guys will get tonight?

Why is it that every season, the Rangers always play 4 or 5 more games than most other teams around this time of year? I swear, every year. Even four days off can't fix that. Very, very frustrating and annoying.

Anyway hopefully that break was able to help the boys out and get them back on track and focused. Some tough games coming up and despite their decent start, this is still a team that you need to beat convincingly on home ice.
