Warrior Smyth Blade

Does anyone know where I can find one. I found it on only one site after searching for a while and it was like 60 bucks. Any help would be great.

Standard or tapered? Righty or lefty?

Hockeymonkey has righty Dolomite blades for $48, that's all I've seen so far. If you find them you might want to stock up, since I believe they're discontinuing that pattern for '09.

Are you serious?

I love this pattern, and no other company has anything similar to it.

Dead serious.

Another forum I post at has a thread where someone scanned in the 2009 catalogue, and the Smyth curve is not listed in their blade pattern chart. So stock up while you can.

Yeah I need a lefty so I guess I'll have to get the 60 dollar one. I will probably make multiple copies of it if I really like it so stocking up isn't necessary.

It looks like they're replacing it with the Kovalchuck. Don't know about lie and such (for some reason that's not in their catolog) but it looks like it's just a straight up renaming.

Someone said the Kovalchuk is replacing the Robitaille. It really doesn't make sense since the Smyth is essentially a copy of the real Kovalchuk that he uses, why not just continue that blade with Kovys name.

Sorry, never mind. I just reread the title. I was looking at the Weight.

Anyone know where the smyth blades are sold? Or if not, any other similar toe patterns?

according to the blade patterns shown on warrior's site and at hockeymonkey and purehockey, it looks like the kovalchuk is the new smyth, only with a higher lie at 5. looks like the vanek is the new name for the weight curve.

Kovalchuk is not the new Smyth.

Robitaille was a middle of the road mid curve, slightly open face, with a rounded toe, 5.5 lie or so.

Kovalchuk "replaced" the Robitaille, the curve is just a bit more towards the toe, it's a bit more kinked, closed face, a bit squarer toe, 5.5 lie or so.

Smyth was discontinued, the curve is about mid toe, it's a bit deeper than either of the above, closed face, has a shaved toe, and is 5 lie or so.

From what I have seen, Warrior does not make a replacement blade with a Smyth curve. I would love it if they did, since that pattern looks like it fits me well, and the stick with this lie, lays perfectly on the ice. Does anyone know anything similar??

If your still looking for a Smyth blade, I have a tapered, RH only used 2 games for sale...

I have a 2 piece Warrior Dolomite with a RH Smyth curve stick that I am gonna break down and sell because I just found out that it's an 85flex when Warrior told me it was 100 and I need a 100 flex
