Toots with the game winner makes this especially sweet.

Backes checked him in the numbers throwing him awkwardly into the boards, head first. Backes got a game misconduct.

Sweet! I love when they beat St. Louis. And as someone said it's nice for Toots to get a goal against them.

Well, it took an empty net to get Legwand a goal, but maybe it'll be some good karma and he'll get some bounces and get going soon. I didn't like the line, if indeed he played with Erat and Ward again. But Hornqvist scored so that's cool.

I'm sorry I missed this one. I planned to catch it, but I forgot. And was sort of busy. The last loss tore my guts to pieces and I'm still doing some stitching to get them together.

Welcome back to the scoresheet Legwand. Stick around for a while!

Love that Tootoo got that goal while Oshie/Blues fans were about to celebrate a big hit on Tootoo.

Nice effort for Hornqvist's goal. Going to the net and stuffing the rebound past Mason.

Well turn about is fair play....last game Ellis did his best Mason impression. This game Mason did his best impression of Five Hole Mason.

Naw, Hornqvist played with Legwand and Ward if I remember correctly. Erat played with Santorelli and Thuresson mostly. Erat also spent some time in Belak's spot on the 4th line.

to me it seemed like St Louis didn't show up until late in the 3rd period right before Tootoo scored ... we carried the play the entire game, what a dominating win ...

I thought we looked pretty good tonight, last night whatever.

Still think Hornqvist has been our best player. Most consistant annyways.

Erat is still killing me! I believe it was in the third, we're on the pk, he gets the puck in the neutral zone w/ no one near him. He skates in a bit and pressure approaches him. Instead of pretending to care and dump it, he tries to deke/ dump it causing another turn over. Basics kid. Come on. Seems like every time he touches the puck its goin the other direction. Circles and under the stick are the only moves he ever tries and fails about 98% of the time.

I think Erat's main issue right now is he's only faced adversity like this once in his Predators career, and he got sent to Milwaukee to sort it out, which is something we cannot do at this point in his career. He is stuck in the repeating loop of "I have to do this myself, so I can get out of this funk."

Honestly, I don't know what to do with Erat, if you keep playing him on the 3rd and 4th lines, does he have anyone available to help him break his habits? Is it worth wasting a second line spot on a player who just simply may not be a second line player anymore?

Who knows.

It was good to see the SAD line clicking, they didn't score but were our best line IMO. Hopefully Dumont is ok, he mentioned getting stiff in the paper. The Blues announcers were insistent that wasn't a hit from behind by Backes.... I was surprised that was a 5 min major. That was one sorry PP though, not much of a threat to score... Our main trouble is just getting in the zone most of the time it seems to me... Thought Rinne was solid... Really could have been a more lopsided win, Mason seems to play us real well... Oh well all in all a ok road trip that could have been a *great* road trip except for one softy

when all is said and done it is better to get the win against a division foe than the Sharks, so if you go 2-2 on a roadtrip this is a great one to win.

Man it would have been great to go 3-1 though.

Anyway, looking back it was a good stretch of hockey, you can see those glimmers of something great in this team.

That was our best game all year, we seemed to be dominating in the shooting department, especially the SAD line, but Mason just played great. I'm really liking Ward playing with Hornqvist, I think they work well with each other.
