I think tonight Pierre + Benoit were putting effort to stop talking about Kostitsyn. I swear I felt like sometimes they were trying to force out some compliments to maybe get some people off their back. There were some negatives that they mentioned, but they really attempted to get some positives in as well. Sounded awkward, like a forced smile after opening a bad gift.

Not only that but the Habs played disciplined D for 60 minutes. This has been missing from their game for most of the season.

Don't see those names in the 3 stars every day.

I wasn't too happy with that homer vote for the 3 stars.

This is how I saw the three stars:

3. (Pick one) Bergeron/Lang/Bissonnette 2. Cammelleri 1. Plekanec

All in all, I think it was a great road game.

Plekanec did great.
MAB was more than decent.
Cammalleri and Gionta sure gave a more than decent effort.

It was boring as hell for a while, but I think we pretty much played a perfect road game.

I am optimist lately. We had alot of difficulty with our offense lately but our D pick up their game alot. Against the Bruins they played well, against calgary they we'rent bad and tonigh they where good. When Markov will be back he will help our D and our offense so we will be a better team. + I think MAB will be very good with markov feeding him on the PP.

White is the new Patches... send patches down. White has out performed patches in every aspect.

Price! The poor guy gets another TWO bad bounces (Halak fanboys... please prove me wrong here ), yet keeps the lead and doesn't have to stand on his head to get the win. Good for him! He seemed excited after that game too.

I won't complain cause I got Gio on my fantasy team (22 man roster) but man Cammy is so generous. The guy is now a hab, and fans expect him to score... he could have 9 goals right now, but chose to share the lead with Gio! <3 thats why he is my HF board profile .

I may be bias, but I think Pleks is one of the best 2 way players this year, his PK is just INCREDIBLE. 3 assists... two of them ALL cause of his passes, and one from a face off win. It is hard for me to say, but he is our best player without a doubt, and if Selkes were handed out right now, id think he is a good candidate. Maybe I am just being way to excited, i dunno. GO PLEKS!

What amazed me about the Habs tonight was 1) they only had 3 shots on goal after 1 and 2) Gomez got completely and utterly owned in the faceoff circle tonight.

I'm so happy the Habs won, but I'm even happier that White played a helluva game. I can't wait to see more of this kid.

Thanks for stopping by, it's tough to play with 3 of your starting blueline out. I'm glad that's not a problem for the Habs

Metropolit has one less point that Gomez, with 5 less games played

Gomez impressed me early on but he can, and should, do much, much more... Is he our new Kovalev in a way? Lots of skills but sub par results?

My God. Price gives up one goal because his defensemen smacks him in the chin with his stick, and another off a skate.

The guy has no luck at all.

Looked like a night where both teams were just going through the motions. There was very little energy from both teams and had the intensity level of an All Star game without the talent. The habs aren't going to win much playing that way.

Price was solid. Not too much to judge him on though. Both goals were pure bad luck.

Pleks was the best hab by far.

White impressed me tonight.

Most disappointed probably in Gomez. His defensive game has gone south and offensively is doing very little. Obvious Lapierre belongs no where on a scoring line. I can't believe how foolish fans were thinking he was a second line center the habs were missing. Absolutely laughable. He is a fringe NHLer at this point. Same said for Latendresse although at least he is showing some capability along the boards.

Not a heck of a lot you can draw from tonight. Both teams never really showed up.

Took the words out of my mouth.

Pleky, you are so good.

Our team defense was absolutely stifling tonite.

Special teams was outstanding. How about that sick dangle by pleky on that pk. WOW.

Agree about Gomez, the most overrated player on the Habs.

Tough luck for Price on both goals.

Latendresse and Lapierre? Another lackluster game. We're waiting, we're waiting, we're waiting. Bah!

Interesting stats about TOI :

Lapierre 8:14
Latendresse 8:36
White 9:08
...
Pyatt 15:12
...
Kostitsyn 15:57

Kostitsyn almost had the TOI of Lapierre and Latendresse combined and less than rookie White! So who's benched now, Benoit? Pyatt has a lot of ice time too, he'll stay on the team I think. He makes the Gomez trade feel a tad better.

This is probably what scares me most. If this is the best he can do then we're in trouble... I guess he's just snakebitten and the points will come eventually, I hope so anyways.

1 powerplay goal against in the past 3 games. I don't think it's a coincidence that White and Pyatt get called up and suddenly we don't get scored on every other PK.

Awesome game by Pleks!

Glad to see Bergeron have an effective game... if we are stuck with him for a while it is at least nice to see him produce some.

Was happy with the efforts from Gomez, Gionta, Pyatt, White, and Metro.

Can we send MaxPac to Hamilton already?
Reminds me of Halak in the Calgary game actually. Solid, but not tested. Except this time we were able to score.
