The big negative, to me, is that if Spacek is out for an extended amount of time, the Habs are completely, utterly pooched.

Hamrlik-Gorges
Mara-Carle
MAB-Leach

Hamrlik breaks a sweat just thinking about all the minutes he'll have to log.

If you told me in the offseason we'd be icing a defense that looked like this 20 games in...yikes

I'm glad we won, but what percentage of y'all wishes you went out with your friends instead? Pretty boring game.

There's something I don't understand.

Pleks had three assists, the Yotes scored two goals, yet, on NHL.com, he has an even +/- rating for this game.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/recap.htm?id=2009020260

Check the 3 stars column.

Two of Plekanec's assists were on the powerplay so no pluses there, one was ES (+1), but he was on the ice for Lang's ES goal (-1)...so there's your even +/-.

Right. I forgot PP goals don't count for the +/-.

The only thing bad thing about this game is that Pleks could've had even more points. I'm mad he didn't score on the PK in the first, it would have made some really sweet highlight reel goals, especially his second chance.

I did both. Terrible evening/night, everyone there was drunk and I was not. Too many guys, not enough chicks and none that I knew. Oh, and the CH game was boring, anyone noticed that?

First off - what?
Spacek played half the game and Hammer played the whole thing..

Secondly, the 'Yotes were missing their top-2 dman as far as I know (Michalek and Jovo)...

I was tired and fell asleep midway through the 1st period. The crowd at Phoenix really didn't help keeping me awake. I checked the replays though, nice pass to Cam from Plek.

Go pleks!

good win. as for MAB, just like with other players and goalies who have struggled...put in a consistent performance like that and then I'll forgive you. Remember, he's here to score/get points. It's his job. He's not a defensive D-man, so if he doesn't score, it's a liability to have him there instead of Carle or whoever. I've been hating on him all season, but at least for one game, I'll give him the support. Thanks MAB, but KEEP it the F up!

OT, but just curious...

Price had on a new helmet...what was that on the helmet? (surprised no one brought this up since EVERYTHING is brought up here!!).

It looks like an 80's style helmet a la Roy.

Leach has been doing a very fine job on the PK as well.
(Plekanec too but Plekanec is awesome.)
