This was the first badly officiated game this season in which we DIDN'T get screwed on the calls...but they were right on the money in the OT though...

Judging by the way the game was going until that call, it seemed Tocchet had about 50K on the game and the zebras in his pocket...he never expected Dean to come in between periods 2 and 3 with a "double down"

What did he do wrong? He threw his body around, drove to the net and was one of the few Kings who passed well tonight. His feet never stopped moving and almost got a working mans goal out of it in the third with his rediction.

I really wish I hadn't watched that game. It was a cluster****. Sure we won, but I came away less confident in the potential of this team.

I have to admit, he did increase his physicality, which is exactly what he needs to do when he isn't scoring so that he'll stick. If he keeps it up, great. I'm just not convinced yet.

The disallowed goal was shown on their screens A blind man only needs to see it once to know the call was a farce.

Brownie made some stupid turn-overs in a very critical time and his shots on nytiäääninmkikitnati were right to the chest.

and his positioning was off tonight.

I know I made a crack when the radio feed went a bit haywire while Brown was arguing with the ref in the 3rd period... I believe the actual quote was...

What happened??? Brown got too close to an on-ice mic???

Complaining about shots to the chest is retarded. You seriously expect the guy to score on every shot he takes and worm that punk into the one little 4x4 inch opening he sees? I think everybody does stupid turnovers.

I've yet to see a smart one.

On an unrelated note... if I were a Tampa fan I'd be spitting blood tonight.

I've never been a Brown basher before, but he is making very poor decisions and is really not playing like he can. He doesn't have the hockey sense or talent to do some of the things he is trying to force himself to do and is getting way too far from the game that got him his C and contract.

It is already starting to spill onto the main boards. Can't really blame them. Terrible officiating altogether, both teams got screwed, but Tampa got literally hosed in the end.

All turn-overs made to benefit the Kings are considered smart ones from no on

He got a huge hooking penalty when the Kings had heavy pressure in the offensive end and after the Kings had just scored. The Kings had all the momentum and he took as dumb a penalty as you can take on the worst place and situation on the ice. Couple that with his continued poor decisions with the puck and it starts to get old. Everyone in the building knows he's going to take the puck all by himself against 3 defenders without thinking about passing.

He simply kills every bit of creativity no matter who he is playing with and whenever he is on the ice. If he didn't work hard out there and have a great ability to get to an open spot by the net he'd be worthless. The guy needs to get back to being tough and realize he is not a finesse player.

(on the goalie interference in overtime…)
QUICK: “There was a play in the first that was pretty similar. The ref told me that if that went in, it wouldn’t have been a goal. It was worth a shot to give him my piece of mind there in overtime. It ended up working out.”

I'll add that I thought Doughty had a great game as well. He took over that 4 on 3 PP that got us the goal.

How great is it to have a beat writer on the road again. Paid for by the Kings or not.. who cares. This post-game stuff is gold.

That probably wasn't a good thing to point out I wouldn't have mentioned it if I were him. You need to develop trust with blind officials.

Turnovers, giveaways, poor positioning, unnecessary risky passes right down the middle of the ice (one of which damn near caused a breakaway the other way) in the offensive zone, failure to take the body, no hustle on the back check, puts his stick blade right in front of the shot which, at best, causes a deflection on the way in to your goalie (forwards are taught to either block it with their body or get out of the way so the goalie can see it, NEVER to throw a stick in front of it unless it is a stick check), I don't remember the period but on one play he actually left the defensive zone like the Kings had control of the puck and it was I think Stoll or another forward left in the corners fighting to get control of the puck and yes, his shots are terrible. The fact he got less ice time that Richardson perhaps says enough...and oh yeah, that idiotic penalty.
