Unless Redden, Rozsival, or Drury is going back I have a feeling I would be displeased with any deal.
The Montreal Canadiens are slowly turning into the 2008-2009 Rangers, especially if they acquire one of the three you listed above.

Rozsival + Sauer + Dupont

Andrei + Sergei + Latendresse/O'Byrne

Well, you tell me. Because I have no idea how we could possibly fit 3.25 mil under the cap without moving one of them. Im pretty sure Gaborik and Lundqvist arent in the deal.

p.s. If were dealing guys for cap room, id prefer it be for guys who expire at seasons end, if we had any hopes of all at making a run at Ilya.

Sergei is 22, Andrei is 24.

Sergei can't crack the Habs lineup at this point, who would he replace on our lineup?

I agree with you that Rozy or Redden would have to be traded. I just feel like they would ask for Girardi.

Either way, this trade is pointless. Maybe Andrei can perform better playing under Gaborik and with less pressure from the media, but thats a 3.25 mil maybe.

Really? Odd, Maybe he just turned 22? I know he is the same age is Sam Gagner. Either way the guy has some skills.

I'm not sure who they replace in the lineup that is up to the coach but they would add some skill.

If he's so skilled, why hasn't he stuck with the Hab's who need scoring... He's their P.A Parentaeu.

Lol, we lose 2 centers, we are incredibly thin down the middle, that makes perfect sense to look first to acquire two wingers... If we go after the K brothers, that's certainly not to address our actual issues at C... But then, thanks but no thanks.

Awful rumor on a Sunday that otherwise started well.

We have a gloat of forward anyway. Let's remember that until D&D got injured, we had Kotalik on the 4tg line.

We get the 2 Kosts and we have 3 second liners playing on the 4th line when D&D return in a few weeks. I would trade Valentenko or Potter for the two Kost brothers, but I would never deal a real prospect like Sauer for them. They are worth more, but not to us.

Well if sergei gets traded wouldn't he ahve to pass through re entry waivers and we could snatch him for half his salary or does he have a 2 way contract that makes him not have to?

Oh no.

Not those 2 clowns.

Drury, Higgins, Callahan, and Dubinsky haven't shown up to play this season. Guess what? Neither has AK. Just what we need. Another forward who can't score.

PASS.

I've not seen MTL this season and don't know what state AK is in.

But, Prospal and Gabby is too alone on this team. Higgins have 5 pts and AK have 5 pts. We have too many players like Higgins, or too few at least who can't create offense on their own. To few play makers.

Lisin, Cally, Higgins and co are all finnishers.

So pretty much depending on the state AK is in, it could be a good deal. Like Higgins for both twins or something like that.

I am guessing that he is waiver exempt. He is pretty young...

I'd talk to Higgins beforehand. Andrei can be a 20goal scorer while Sergei who knows.
Let's remember the source Toronto Sun - not the most credible one out there.

More reclamation projects, which seems to be Glen Sahers specialty. A history between these two GM's...both seem to be part of the good-ole boys club! Could be some truth here.

I don't want to dissect this one too much untill there was some followup to it with who the Rangers were potentially dealing the other way. But...I would be that this one is a change of scenery type of a deal that could potentially send one of the players here that is lambasted on a regular basis for his untradeable contract.

Also, on these two. Minus the love of the nightlife which seems to be the label on them...From what I have seen of them both when the club used to play against them, is they were hustle engery guys that always seemed to create a buzz. Something that NY fans love to see which is why a Ryan Callahan is so loved here. Question is, does the club need these types again...or would the money be better spent on that big nasty SOB of a defenseman many of us Rangers fans still covet!

A lot of people here loathed Zherdev... They will probably lose their ****ing minds If the K-brothers come onboard.
Andrei is riding the pine already in Montreal, and Sergei was suspended by the club for leaving their AHL Affiliate...

NO thanks.
