The only reasoning I see for that second line is trying to get Plekanec to get less points so he'll be cheaper to sign.

Yeah except he's an UFA so if we screw him over this season, there's no way he's going to want to sign here. I guess he'll be cheaper for someone else.

Congratz for the Hurricanes for stopping their losing streak at 15.

1. Patches to the AHL please.
2. Laraque sucks.
3. Kostitsyn had our only two scoring chances last night.
4. Call up Sergei.

This is an AHL line-up minus 4-5 players.

This is sad !! And to think that Sergei is owning the AHL right now, can't even buy a call up to save his life... Even more SAD !!

JM rather have solid defensive players as opposed to skilled players, hence why SK is still rotting in the minors. I still dont know why Carle isnt in the lineup, not that Leach has been horrible but he isnt part of your future...

9 points in 12 games is "owning the AHL"?

My thoughts exactly. He's not going to get out of his funk if he doesn't get to keep shooting.

Martin's handling of the young players strikes me as nothing short of abysmal. Benefit of the doubt and all that, but he's not just not getting results he's positioning himself in such a way that he won't get them.

Patches should be in the AHL and D'Agostini has been injured for a while. Doesn't mean Sergei is owning anything right now.

I'd like him to play in Montreal but as much as we need one I doubt he'll be the savior of anything.

Wow.

Our first line looks like a mediocre 2nd.

The rest looks like garbage.

And WTF is Laraque doing in the line-up?

Right now, I think it would be better for both players to keep SK away from Jacques Martin and send MaxPac to Guy Boucher.

I hate to say this because I had tons and tons of faith in the man, but I haven't been impressed by Jacques Martin in the specific area of handling the young players.

Max is centering the third line if you look at the practice lineup again.

What do we have to lose?

Another loss? Another shutout? Big deal, at least we can then say that we've tried this option and it didn't pan out. Seriously, if we lose we lose, but if we win that's a big step up.

My line-up would be as such:

1 - Cam -Gomez - Gionta (Playing 20 mins)
2 - Kost - Plek - Kost (Playing 16 mins)
3A - Moen - Metro - Pyatt (playing 12 mins)
3B - Lats - Lapierre - D'Agostini (playing 12 mins)

Give/take away time on merit.

Replace D'Agotisni by Pax until he comes back.
Having Laraque healty and playing well, with Latendresse and Lapierre could be an interesting option. I think they would both grow a few inch taller with big G beside them and play their pest role a bit better.
I put Pyatt on the 3rd because I like his energy and effort. It compliments M&M nicely.
As for Sergeď, I think we should see how he could do. When playing well, he can be almost dominant. He was for a few games last year (or before).

Couldnt agree more on all points.

JM is seriously losing points with me the longer he keeps going with none of these things done.

Our top two lines fails big time.

Especially that 2nd line! Never seen a second line in the nhl that has wingers with 0 goals after 20 games in the season.

I don't have a problem with Laraque on the 4th.

I do have one, however, with him playing a regular shift with AK.

JM is stubborn.

Please do:

1. ask for SK to join the team and play with AK with Plek
2. split up Hammer and Spacek and put Spacek on left
3. stop detaching the 1st line
4. either bench MAB or ask him to slap shot non stop during PP

Cammy - Gomer - Gionta
SK - Plek - AK
Moen - Metro - Pyatt
Lats - Laps - White

Hammer - Mara
Spacek - Leach
Carle - Gorges
