Rangers are a weird team, to start the year the offense was awesome and now it's crap. A shake up could be needed but I would like more of the Rozsival, Voros type of shape up even if it's a minor league move.

Someone would take Rozy on Re-entry at 2.5. If Drury goes to LTI that may make some sense

I'll pass. Unless one of Drury, Redden or Roszival are going the other way.

You know, they're (unfortunately) not the Sedins. We don't have to take both of them.

Might be better for them NOT to be together quite frankly. Easier them to fall into old bad habits when they're together.

I only like getting Andrei if we can shed one of our awful big contracts.

I dont want either of these two losers on the Rangers. Even for Roszival.

Considering Andrei Kostitsyn has a $3.25 million cap # and the Rangers have about less than $700,000 on cap space,a sizable contract is going back to Montreal who wants to unload the two brothers. Unless Gainey takes Rozsival back in the deal, there is no deal to be made.

This rumor is reduced by the customary Garrioch discount.

You just shattered my mind.

To Montreal: Rozsival
To New York: Extacy brothers

How come nobody thought of this before!?

Go post this on the trade forum, Vitto...

Its already on there. MTL fans say that A Kostitsyn brother is worth more than Roszival alone which might be true, but with the other brother, Roszival just became the prime piece.

Maybe it's just me--but all season long I've gotten the impression that Rozsival does not care for his reduced role on the team and that Tortorella might not be on his christmas card list. It strikes me as well that as long as MDZ is around and with Sanguinetti and Heikkinen waiting for a chance that reduced role is not going to change and that what we have now is a $5 mil a year No. 6 d-man for two more years after this one--so if an opportunity arises it might not only be good for the Rangers it might be good for Rozsival as well.

I've seen earlier in the thread that the K bros will become RFAs after this season. If this is so, then I'd trade Roszie for both of them in a heartbeat. Basically, we get to kill Roszie's contract for free. I want Sangs up here already.

Can lightning strike twice in the same place (Montreal)? I'd sign up for that one.

And then we let the K bros and Higgins walk just like we did with Zherdev and sign #71, promote Grachev... a man can dream, can I not?

Have you ever seen A.Kostitsyn play aside from the Habs vs Rangers games? He's literally a power foward...How is that soft? Okay maybe one that isn't producing right now but saying that he is soft is ridiculous.

this term has a number of issues right now none of which are addressed by either of these 2 clowns but...........

having said that, i do believe rozy is on the market and will go for any warm body, even a k brother.

i would take andrei if we could move rozy.

and its not even close.

Not opposed to dealing Rozsival. But if you do deal him, you need to get a defenseman back IMO.

We have Dandenault on a tryout in Hartford right now, and im sure management has caught wind of Sanguinetti's season in Hartford so far. I wouldnt be opposed to getting a dman back, but Im not sure its essential considering Rozsival's diminished role this season. Gilroy has been playing more pk minutes than him lately.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat if I'm Sather. The way the Habs are being managed right now, nothing would surprise me.

3 rookie defensemen (and ones who are pretty similar) is a dangerous prospect.

Seriously though, playing in Montreal lately have not been easy. Not for anyone. They were a org in a very good shape just a couple of years ago, now they are very close to collapse completely.

AK is a very talented hockey player. Not only is he skilled, he is very strong on his skates and have a good shot.

We have no talent basically. Its ridiculous how much John Tortorella must rely on Vlac Prospal to get any kind of offense.

Would I be concerned about their attitude? For sure, I wouldn't give up much to get them for sure. But if they could be had cheap, I think it would be worth looking into getting them.

It can't be done, I agree completely. At least not for any longer stretches.
