Kings vs. Poached Panthers

Good game. Time to look ourselves in the mirror against the Flyers at home! Go Kings!

If Smyth is out for a bit I'd hope they'd call up Moller or Loktionov.

Kopitar needs to step up his game on the road where he is being matched against other teams best defensive units. Winning these games in shootouts on the road is a very good step in the right direction. Winning is something the Kings need to expect EVERY night and I think they're starting to believe.

Glad Jack got a PP goal and the GW SO goal.

If the Kings play the way they've played the last five games, they're going to get murdelized.

I love seeing this team win. I love seeing all their little happy faces. But, Quick, he's great, he really is. I love seeing him win in a shootout. It is really awesome to see.

We still don't play good enough..has to improve against the better teams or we can forget about play-offs.

Stand-out: Parse ....Quick went down a little to early on the first goal but had a stellar game besides that.

Fatigue might have been a factor tonight. (regarding the most of our players) IMO

Randy Jones a 7th defenseman? The way he's playing right now, you can't take him out of the lineup.

Brad Richardson is playing the best he ever has as a King. If Smyth is out beyond tonight, I think the Kings might consider raising Richardson above 4th line, maybe keeping Frolov on Kopitar's line for now also.

I dont know about everyone else....But this whole road trip was a huge dissapointment.

This is by far the one easy road trip we have this year. Chicago is good but we are better and should have taken it. Atlanta , Tampa, Florida all stink compared to us and we should have won all 3 in convincing fashion which we didnt 2 of the 3 going to shootout and 1 getting blown out.

Maybe I just expect alot more out of this team this year but overall, I think the Kings are coming into games un prepared against the not so good teams in the league because they feel the other team is just going to roll over.

I guess it could have been alot worse.

Kopi's having a lot of trouble on the road. He needs to figure out how to get through those match-ups.

There is just too much on that team. Not to take away from the Kings, but I'm very scared, hahah.

Chicago is too good anymore to take lightly. They have to be treated like an elite team when you play them, when you don't treat them that way they will burn you.

Atlanta is not that bad. I thought they would stink too, before the season started, but now I'm thinking they might really challenge for the postseason. Kovalchuk is just an assassin, and seems to be truly motivated, and everyone else on that team had Kovalchuk's vibe as well the other night.

And he still sucks!

Love the fact that we got a win in the Shootout.

Hate that we had to go to OT to get the 2 points.

Love that Randy Friggin Jones is turning into the second coming of KQ.

Hate that we have forgotten from last year how to hold teams to less than 25 shots per game.

Love this team.

Hate the thought of Ryan Smyth being injured.

Love that we play the Flyers Wednesday night.

HATE THE FLYERS

Go KINGS GO

So not true. We never played very well and we played sub par teams.

We are not better than Chicago.
Atlanta is playing amazing right now and they've destroyed everyone since Kovalchuk came back.
TB played inspired and we won.
We beat Florida

The Kings didn't play the best but we were playing an east coast road trip.

doesn't matter.

no team, not any of those great Islanders, Oilers, Red Wings or whatever teams ever had a 5-game subpar roadtrip end up in their favor, right?

your goal as a team, ANY team is to be no worse than .500 on the road. the Kings have been one of the best road teams in the league so far this season.

and luck? sure. but what do they say about good players/teams and luck?

last year, this team is mired in a six-game losing streak... with Philly on the horizon.

Randy Jones is not the second coming of Quincey. Jones isn't playing the Kings game plan. The guy is jumping into everything and has given up 2 goals and several breakaways doing so. The goal he scored tonight was the correct read but he is always out of position. The rest of the team isn't accounting for it since that is not how they work and the turnovers have been scary.
