We won.

Stop whining.

Unless you are whining about Brown...then whine away.

Two more much needed points....keep it going boys.

Did anyone else see Quick's stick being flung into the corner right before the third goal?

I can't believe the negative Nancies around here

We won 3 of 5 on a 5 game eastern road trip, including a great comeback in game 5.

The physical game is going to have to look about as good as in the Lightning-game, and ever better, if we gonna have a chance gainst Flyers.

Btw, does the MF in JMFJ stand for the regular meaning of MF or whats the word? Im totally lost on that one

Yup. It means what you think it means. You may be the only hockey fan that doesn't know this by the way...but now you know.

Not even the Kings know. He is going to see a doctor tomorrow.

How wonderfully vague.....

On that note, this was bound to happen, imo Smyth was loggin to much ice time, imo there was no reason for him to be on the PK. He may be good at it but we have plenty of fowards that are good enough to where Smyth doesnt need to be used. While Smyth might not be "old" the way he plays has aged him similar to a running back in football and he needs to only be used on the PP and 5-on-5.

Like I said earlier if he's out for a long period the team may fall apart, he has a big impact on the team and he definitely makes a huge impact on Kopi. So someone's gonna have to step up or were ****ed.

It's too bad we don't have another LW on this team who we've all been waiting to step up....

Injuries happen, someone else is going to have to step into his role and produce.

I expect we will see Frolov up there with Kopitar and Williams and Richardson with Simmonds and Zues.

Smyth was bound to happen. You really can't curse the hockey gods for that one. You, me, Lombardi, Jim Fox, everyone knew Smyth would go down with an injury at one point. The question is how long will he be out. 5-10 games would be okay with me. 10-20, sucks, but not the end of the world. 20+, yikes. No, I don't believe the team will "fall apart" without Smyth, but he's a fantastic presence out there. Let's all just hope he's out for a handful of games, if any at all.

Also, JJ has a lot of proving to do. At this point, I wouldn't blink at trading him in a package for a guy like Kovalchuk.

Other than that, good game. Great road trip, despite the Atlanta disaster. 3-2 is a great road trip. Period.

Kings looked down a team they knew they were better than.

And they knew that. They went about the shootout as if they knew they were going to pull it out.

Newsflash: the Kings are a sub par team (until they can make the playoffs once in a while).

I'd take 3-2 on any road trip, every time.

simmonds made me smile this game. i hope he starts carrying himself like he did in this game more often and finishing his checks like he did. i wish he would take his visor off before he starts fighting but there wasn't much time before that fight started.

That's twice now I've seen that mentioned, only to not get discussed. Just prior to the Oreskovich goal, Quick's stick was lying on the ice in front of the crease. As the puck bounced over the net, Quick had a small opportunity to recover it and appeared to be about to. At that exact moment, Oreskovich (I believe) shot Quick's stick into the corner with his own stick. Quick saw it and tried to bring it to the ref's attention. Just after that, Oreskovich gloved the puck and then put it into the net with his stick. Jim Fox didn't even mention it as the replays of the goal all started after the stick incident.

Missed call, or what? I thought you couldn't shoot an opposing players stick away to prevent him from recovering it?

If so, there's the karmic payback from the Tampa game right there. It's all even now and fortunately the Kings still came out on top.

It's interesting hearing Kings fans discuss Jack Johnson, typically in a negative fashion when the coaching staff and his teammates tend to be very positive about his play. Why the divide?

In the area that matters (within the team), there doesn't appear to BE any divide. That's all I care about.
