Tall people have high shoulders. Shoulders in the face hurts. Small people are lower on the ice ; shoulders in the belly doesn't not really hurts. Tall players win.

If you put this on the trade proposal forum, those Oilers fans will rip you apart. Cogliano and his 8 points in 21 games are worth alot more than that.

Tall players can also lean on shorter players and for those who have never played the game, getting leaned on tires your legs right out.

For the right price, I'd still take Cogliano. He is so frickin' fast!

Are you guys effing kidding me? Lappy. Why would you trade away Lapierre? He's exactly the kind of player we need in the playoffs.

He's not playing very well as if yet but much more importantly, he's a player the Oil covet. Trading is something that only gets done when both teams are happy with the players they're getting. So contrary to the usual "Our garabage/spare parts for the other teams top 6 player, I thought I'd actually make a realistic trade proposal.

Fair enough?

Why did Gomez get Gionta's "A" instead of Pleks? Pleks has been our heart and soul.

Both Kost Bros for Cogliano ??!? Are people ****ing nuts ??! Talk about an overpayment......

SK-74 for Cogliano straight up maybe if Sergei really wants out but that's it. Even then all those small but fast player are getting redundant. Just more of thet same.

Cogs is worth considerably more than just SK, don't over-look the guys talent just because of his size. The way I see it is that both teams need bigger size on the wings, we are not good trading partners at all.

We have Penner who contributes at the moment, no way he is going anywhere. We have other guys who do a decent job but nothing to write home about so we do know one thing for sure. If a deal is made between these two teams it won't involve size. We do have one or two D-Men we may be willing to move if the right deal came along and you guys could use some help on the backend moving the puck.

.
Cogliano may be worth more than Sergei alone but he's not worth both Kost Bros. Maybe Sergei + a pick or a mid level prospect but that's it.

And i'm not overlooking his talent because of his size but we need players that can create space for our other small forwards , much like what Penner is doing for you guys. Gionta and Cammalleri are good at riding through traffic despite their size but we need more than that. With all due respect to Cogliano he's not the type of player that can do that , not at the expense of both Kost bros anyway.

I was thinking AK for Cogs and we throw in Nilsson/Moreau to balance out salary.

He would be gold on the second line and PK.

Not sure what your cogs question is.

Penner? I did say "at the moment" and he still isn't going anywhere.

Lapierre would be welcome as well.

Montreal needs more scoring depth, Edmonton needs to clear young bodies and bring in more veterans/defensive forwards. Lapierre and Kostitsyn for O'Sullivan and Cogliano would be ideal.

Cammalleri-Gomez-O'Sullivan
Cogliano-Plekanec-Gionta
Latendresse-Metropolit-Moen
Pacioretty-Chipchura-D'Agostini

Markov-Spacek
Mara-Hamrlik
Gill-Gorges

Penner-Gagner-Brule
Kostitsyn-Comrie-Hemsky
Moreau-Horcoff-Lapierre
Jacques-Stone-Pisani

Souray-Gilbert
Smid-Visnovsky
Grebeshkov-Staios

s.kost + chip is a fair price...

cogliano can play any forward position, solid on the PK, fast, young, good potential, already producing...

wonder why oilers would trade him unless they get better with a deal.

get cogliano and then go after james sheppard!! seems like MIN fans can stand him anymore... underachieving.

I agree with the SKostitsyn and Chipchura for Cogliano idea!

Such a deal would make a lot of sense.

Keep in mind Cogs is on the fourth line right now. His linemates are Moreau and Stortini. Not much chance for offense with those two. Especially considering Moreau is a puck hog.
