Players that will save this team:

Ovechkin
Malkin
Crosby
Kovalchuk
Datsyuk
Vanek
Gaborik (Healthy)
Hossa

Hall
Seguin
Kabanov

No one else. We are a bottom feeder/middle of the pack team. We need a miracle, if Bob manages to get Cogliano? and O'Sullivan? for Sergei and Lapierre? I will eat my hat, and say Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob everytime someone mentions the Habs. I would love that trade, and imo its very lopsided in our favor.

Why would Edmonton do this? We have Price, Halak, Markov, Subban, as the only "In Demand" trade assets that we have, No one wants the monster contracts of our new guys and the AHL is full of guys that fill the rest of our roster. I find it funny how we all see the performances of our players and then expect that GMs around the league can see some invisible quality in guys like Akos and his brother and Max Lapierre and GUY-home sleeping that we can't that would make them want these morons on their roster!

And i'm not overlooking his talent because of his size but we need players that can create space for our other small forwards , much like what Penner is doing for you guys. Gionta and Cammalleri are good at riding through traffic despite their size but we need more than that. With all due respect to Cogliano he's not the type of player that can do that , not at the expense of both Kost bros anyway.
I completely agree with Harrison, we're not good trading partners. Case closed.

Fair enough?
He's not playing to his potential but he's playing better than alot of people on our team. Lapierre is the kinda player WE should be coveting. Screw the Oilers. I'll tell you if Bob trades Lapierre for another effing midget, I'll stop cheering for the Habs

Well, at least until the next game. But man you don't trade a player like Lapierre. This kid makes Lats look good. Do you realize how difficult that is?

Cogliano only got 9 minutes of ice-time for the Oil tonight. Quinn must be down on him.

My point is it's not worth the trade. Cogliano is not going to provide the secondary (or primary ftm) scoring we need, thus no point trying to get him by giving away extra. O'Sullivan seems to be a better fit from what I've seen even though they would be in the same "category" in many ways. Whether the trade is in our favour or not, it's by a marginal amount. I guess you're right in saying that it would help us, but I'm just hoping that if we make a trade, it's a la Kovalev in 04. Of course, it's blind hope.

Cogliano to Montreal

NO IT'S NOT AN EKLUND RUMOR...

According to sources close to the Team 990, Andrew Cogliano could be a Hab before the season ends!

Your thoughts?

Latendresse for Cogliano straight up? If there was a way to do so, I'd do it for sure.

As everyone knows I'm not a Lats fan and I wouldn't make that trade. We're getting smaller even if we're only getting rid of Sleeping Beauty
