haha.. well Tootoo hasn't faught anyone, and Belak doesn't get many opportunities. Nichol's stupid penalties aren't on the team anymore and we are playing with much more discipline.

Wow
I was pondering on this last night as I was watching the game. When Nichol was a Pred he was a borderline dirty player at times and he got caught almost every time. Now he is a Shark and still a borderline dirty player but got away with it all night.

In particular, the stick to the head of Rinne which looked like it could have been an accident but he doesnt get the benefif of the doubt because he was in the crease all night. He was sitting ON Rinne at one point.

he did have one awesome hit where he leveled a Pred in the corner, does anybody know who he got? I didnt see the name.

I"m surprised there's not more outrage about the clock situation. Giving the Sharks a free 3 minute time out to let Thornton, Heatley and Marleau catch their breath with the goalie pulled is pretty terrible...especially in your own building. Trotz was far more angry about it than he has been about any loss this year.

no need to be outraged, it was out of our control.

I was livid about the clock situation. An extended, free time out over a single second? And it happened twice?! Granted, the second time wasn't nearly the opportunity that the first could have been.

Obviously TL is correct in saying it's out of the team's control, but it really takes that long to realize the clock is a second or two off? Call the replay guy, look at the clock when the puck crossed, tell the time keeper, continue play. They must have called freakin' Toronto or something.

I think it was Santo- right in front of me, 2nd period. It ended with an uncomfortable missionary position pose before Nichols climbed off. To his credit, Santo skated to the other end and had a solid scoring chance.

By the way, was the Legwand "pass" at the end of the second by our net a candidate for brain fart of the year?

yep.. you are right.. that was way at the other end of the ice from me, I knew it wasn't one of our bigger guys.

well I had to applaud the hit, it was nice.

another great part of this game was seeing the on-ice communication. Several times I saw players, especially Legwand, calling out to team mates and pointing at guys who werent being covered, stepping up to cover for each other, etc. That was really good to see.

Some of the comments are pretty good. I liked this early one:

"It's a conspiracy... somehow involving Balsillie, "Boots" Del Biaggio and Sergei Krivokrasov. "
