I believe Emery will play less than 65 games, as well.

The remaining schedule pretty much demands it.

Well, you see, the thing is, I try to have some faith in the bright minds of some of my hfboards brethren. And there's this guy, Jester I think his name was...and I was complaining big time about this team not keeping Niitty...and he was telling me how much more faith he had in Boucher than Niitty. So, you see, sometimes I try and put some faith in stuff like that and hope it might have been a somewhat reasonable thing to say. It is for reasons such as that one that I'd like to think Boucher will not go out and post a few terrible starts.
I have no problem with Boucher as a backup...still don't. But I'm not going to crucify him if he sucks when he goes out there because...he's been getting paid to sit on his butt during games and stop practice shots...not exactly what prepares you to play in the toughest league in the world. I also didn't have a problem with Nitty as a backup...he got games, and when Biron was getting overplayed I was complaining about that.

That was also due to a hot goalie and lack of trust in Nitty...similar to now.

I'd love to make that happen, as I'm all about betting and having fun -- but alas...I've been asked to NOT make 'those' kind of vBookie's.

Sorry guys.

FWIW -- I'd take the over on 65 (assuming health) games as well.

Edit: Didn't we have a thread where we predicted the amount of starts Emery would make? Or was it wins?

I think there was a wins one a while back, he's on pace for 53 or so which isn't bad.

Isn't bad? That's incredible!

I was reading this thread yesterday, and it amused me to no end...

Ray Emery... Jeff Hackett 2.0?

Yeah, not so bad; only 5 wins more than the most in NHL history for a single season.

"Isn't bad" is like the highest compliment you can get from a Philadelphia fan.

I'm just saying until there's a real reason to be concerned about the goalies, I wouldn't go worrying myself too much.

...well, I think overworking Emery and creating a cobwebbed backup is a cause for concern.

Boooooo, I liked the idea of Emery for tonight and SJ, and Boucher for Phoenix.

Hey, that just made me realize something..how the hell would you ever boo Boucher if you wanted to? You can't, you couldn't. That's a pretty sweet deal if you're him...an added bonus to having a name or nickname like Bouch, or Zus, or Roo, or Raul, or Chooch, or Deuce...you can't be booed. There are only compliments for you.

Hopefully not because Emery has the flu...as I thought the plan was for Boucher to play in the back-to-back situation.

My guess is Stevens is saving him from getting lit up by Jones.

Damn.

Boucher versus Kopitar; at least that means he probably won't start against San Jose again.

I want to win but I want Jones to score a goal. Flame on *****es. I find it funny for a team to waive a player then try to get him back and another team claim him. It makes me lol.
if they give Boucher the San Jose game I am seriously going to hurt someone.
Boucher should start the Phoenix game if hes looking to start against a former club.

Well, they can still go Boucher, Emery, Boucher this week. Maybe LA is playing their backup tonight

But it's no shame to be scored upon by Jones right now.
