I like Tavares a lot.I think he's gonna be a really good player.Maybe even a great player.

However,guys like Okposo,Park,Bergeheim and Streit worked their butts off for the nyi before Tavares was even an Islander.

I see what you're saying, but I think the OP has a lot of merit in his post too. All the guys on this team work hard, and I thought they worked hard last year too (Guerin and Comrie not withstanding), but Tavares' attitude isn't just about working hard, he demands perfection. Look at him when he misses a shot that he thinks he should score on. He is furious with himself. It doesn't matter that he busted his ass to create the opportunity if he didn't execute it perfectly. This type of demanding perfection I think only a select few players in the world have, and it definatley rubs off on his teammates the way that nobody else can.
