Reminds me of Lavi's "hot goalie" routine.

I think one of the most mind boggling quotes from Maurice to date comes last Friday vs. the Islanders when we got outshot 7-3 in the first and were losing 3-0, but in the words of Maurice ... "The fight was there from the start".. I'm sorry, say what? . I'm still wondering what ****ing game he was watching.

I would have had Legace shoot before letting Brind'Amour have a chance.

All I could think of during the third period was jr and mo scoffing and grinning when talk of the hated "trap" was brought up. Not this team, not this time, no way.

That third period was embarrasing. Stopping at the blue line with the puck, waiting for the pressure, throwing it in the corner, change, one loose forchecker never going deeper than the circles, everyone else in the nuetral zone waiting. Letting them come at us in waves over and over. Just pure crap hockey. By the time we get the late pp no one remembers how to carry the puck, we have no confidence, huge turnovers. They had the puck more than we did on our pp.

I hate mo hockey. I'd rather lose and be fun than be middling and boring. Not that this is even middling.

Funny, as I watched Samsonov and Brind'Amour both chase the puck behind the net early in the third, I thought to myself "well, at least no one can complain that they're laying back."

However, I will say that when they brought out Brind'Amour and LaRose with about 25 seconds left on the power play with about 6 minutes to play in the 3rd, I was yelling at my TV that they were giving it up.
