http://www.wfan.com/pages/5706775.php

Words can't really describe how stupid this is but I thought we could all use a laugh.

I hope you trade him. It would make my life. That would be an x-mass present for the century for me.

Not only does the article say that we should trade Lundqvist, not for the return, but because we dont knwo if he can win us a cup, but it suggests getting Jimmy Howard back as a better option? lol. good stuff.

The caps should trade Ovechkin for Kyle Turris too, because he may be one of those good players who just doesnt win a cup, because he hasnt 4 seasons in right? assanine.

Wait, while we're at it, let's throw in Gaborik for free so that other contending team will definitely 100% win the Stanley Cup this year!

Stupid, stupid article.

I find it funny that the article was written anonymously.

There is a consensus in Rangerland that Henrik Lundqvist is John Vanbeisbrouck, a really good goalie who will not win you the Stanley Cup
I only got to the 3rd sentence. What consensus? This guy is a joke.

Not only that but why would Detroit take Lundqvist when they already have a Stanley Cup winning goaltender on their roster?

I love how in the first paragraph he suggests you can't win a Cup with Lundqvist but then in the very next paragraph suggests trading him to a team on the brink of winning the very Cup he says Lundqvist can't win. Brilliant!

It doesn't matter. I just thought the article was humorous and we could all use a laugh in Rangerland right now.

As long as "The Masked Man" isn't Glen Sather we'll be OK.

Author of the article is in the wrong career. Should be in politics.

Obviously the author has more in mind for a return. The article is still ridiculous, but for the sake of discussion..

Lundqvist, Drury, Sauer for Howard, Datsyuk, Kronwall

The only reason this is even brought up is because Sather was an idiot and effed up this teams cap for half a decade.

Honestly, if someone offered me Ovechkin for Lundqvist, I would do it. However, this team is not like Washington or Pittsburgh. They can't get by with a goalie like Theodore starting for them every night. Hank might not be able to take all us all the way with the ****** teams he's been given the last few years, but at least gives us a chance. Otherwise we would just keep missing the playoffs until we find a suitable replacement (which probably won't happen)

suuuuuuure trade the best goalie in the world. Holy crap they team does'nt suck that bad. They have a world class goalie and a young D that is only going to get better over time. Plus Gaborik is a freaking star. Build around that.

I still think they make the playoffs this yr
