the saddest thing about all of this is that the worst team of the decade would probably come close to beating the best team of the decade.

I couldn't help myself. I'll readily admit that he wasn't one of the worst. But he was just so easy to hate on.....

Agreed. Lefebvre was so awful that he was assigned to Hartford, I believe.

Also, let's not forget that the whiny brat Quintal was on the team this decade (1999-00 season, waived prior to 2000-01 season). He deserves some serious consideration as well.

I agree. Maybe for his final year (plus). For his first 2 seasons he would actually deserve consideration for all star list. Again not that he was so great, the Rangers were only so so bad.

I also agree about Karpa, Quintal, Lefebvre - they should be involved in this poll. One other guy that comes on my mind is Ian Mertzig. I don't think he was worse than the guys I mentioned. It was just one horrible team NYR had. There's always some kind of Euro wave in the NHL. Now it's Russian. There was Czech in early 00's. In late 90's it was Swedish wave. Every team had to have (draft, sign) some Swedish talent. NYR had Sunny. And then they landed Mertzig, Johan Lindbom and Peter Popovic. Uff.
