Jesse Rogers of ESPN 1000 said that the Hawks probably wont finalize and announce these deals until after the Circus trip so we have a few more weeks to wait
ESPN.com's NHL Rumor mill this morning cited a nugget on Spectors Hockey that referred to the "Tagging" rule, which might be the biggest hurdle for the Hawks to get these deals done.
The Hawks have to cut $6M off their 2009-10 payroll before they add the kinda money they're talking about with these three contracts because of this rule, which says you can't exceed the current season's salary cap in the payroll obligations of the following season. So trades are going to have to go down soon to make these deals stick.
Perhaps once Hossa gets back we see Byfuglien/Sharp gone?
