Stewart sent down to Hamilton for a Conditioning stint

... Guess we didn't want to risk losing him on waivers.

Question: How can you send someone down for conditioning if that player wasn't previously on IR? Looks like some loop hole to me. I hope they send Lats down for conditioning too

Good for him.

They did the same thing with MAB when he was first signed.

Yes, but that's because he didn't have a training camp

That must be why he loses his helmet all the time....honestly, don't think I've seen a player lose his helmet as often.

A player can be sent down for 2 weeks, if they agree to the move without having to go through waivers. A good example is Nylander (WAS).

He sat in the press box to start off the year, and later agreed to a conditioning stint in the minors. He wasn't injured at any time before he was sent down.

Julien BriseBois might have played a role too. The Bulldogs are desperate for healthy skaters and BriseBois assured the coaching staff they'd have help by the end of the week. I guess Stewart will help Hamilton more than Montreal at the moment.

Remember when he said he wore the loose chin strap just so when he was in the middle of a shift, if it came off, he could play the remainder of his shift without it on lol. He loved that hair flying out.

With Stewart gone from the roster, we now have 1 open spot for 2 weeks. Here comes Sergei (I hope...)

Stewart still counts on the pro roster so no spot was opened up.

Not so sure. With Desharnais's camp, and the way he's producing, now that he's healthy again he may be the first call-up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him take White or Pyatt's spot for a couple of games if we continue to lack offense.

Hence why I said in White or Pyatt's spot... one of them could be sent down for Desharnais.

I'm assuming that for Stewart to accept the conditioning assignment, he would keep receiving an NHL salary.

If you factor in ice time, Times helmet was lost by time on ice, Stewart wins this one hands down...
