New York Rangers All Decade Team - First Right Winger

We are quickly approaching the end of the first decade of the 21st Century. It is time for us the fans to pick who we would want as our All-Decade Team. In the next few weeks 22 polls will be posted to fill the team. 13 Forwards, 7 defense man and 2 goalies will be chosen.

The fourth poll will be for the First Line Right Winger.

Note: The max you can put in a poll is 15 entries. So I have removed players that would most likely have no chance of being on this team.

I think it's Jagr, hands-down. I mean is anyone else even close?

Jagr should be the only one on that list.

lol. Yeah decade team. Not career team. This is Jagr's spot. Gborik and Bure should be 2 and 3, in any order

You never know, Peter Prucha and Jed Ortmeyer have some staunch supporters around here.

Jagr, Bure, Gaborik, Fleury for me. Bure and Gaborik are interchangeable.

If Gaborik continues his pace this season he could make things interesting if we are going by the fact that the new decade doesn't actually start until 2011.

Post lockout all decade team? 2015-2016. We'll see where Gaborik stands then.

Because they were the best guys at the time. I dont know how you could vote for say a Callahan just because he has played more games. Best team, best players at the time they played here.

Jed can have my vote for the other lines. Ortmeyer is the first custom jersey I owned, a white authentic my GF got from Cosby's when we first started dating.

Jagr doesn't even need to be voted in, he could have just been appointed to this position.

The controversy will be when we get down to the lower lines. For 3rd-line RW, for instance, some people will keep voting for the best player (ie. Pavel Bure), others will vote for the guy who plays the position the best or has been the best Ranger (ie. Ryan Callahan).

Voted Gabby by accident. My vote was meant for Jagr.

My hope is that by the end of next season, people will be able seriously to vote that way on purpose!

I don't really see how this is possible. If Gaborik puts up an unbelievable season he'll still be around Jagr's 05-06 year, and then Jagr has 2 good years on top of that.

As for the person who said he will vote the HMO line, if Ryan Hollweg ends up on our All Decade team then we might as well throw the results out the window and pretend the polls never happened, because our fanbase would have just completely embarrassed ourselves.

what's the basis for judgement with these polls? Is it how the player played as a Ranger in this decade? Or just how they played overall in this decade? Kovalev, for example, stunk as a Ranger, yet had some productive years with Pitt & Mtl.
