For the main practice, LW Enver Lisin has been dropped to the fourth line with C Brian Boyle and Aaron Voros. Donald Brashear is now skating on Christopher Higgins line with Ryan Callahan. The other two lines are Ales Kotalik-Vinny Prospal-Marian Gaborik and Sean Avery-Artem Anisimov-P.A. Parenteau.
In all seriousness, Tortorella's random and nonsensical line changes such as this one lead me to believe that his personal grudges are really the only thing behind it.

Swapping out people on lines the way I see it is that hes just hoping that something will work. At some point chemistry is bound to be found no?
honestly....brashear brings about as much to the team as lisin does when looked as a whole...i have no problem with this move (thats how little i think of what Lisin has done as a whole)
Lisin has a broken bone in his foot, might have something to do with it.
Id take lisin with one foot with 3 missing toes, a bad back, post concussion syndrome and no pinkies before i even considered giving brashear a second more than he's getting now. this is just beyond stupid, even for torts.
Well at least itll make the guy in the section next to me happy, he's the ONLY person ive seen with a brashear jersey, itll make his year.

And I agree with you. But Brashear is absolutely abysmal. It's a whole different world when comparing the two. Lisin hasn't done much... but he's light years ahead of Brashear in both creating chances and having the ability to finish chances. With a team struggling to score goals, this move is clear cut stupid.
I think you gotta wait until the actual game to see what the lines are...like someone said, Lisin's broken foot may have more to do with this than the coach coming up with usable line combos

What grudges? He gave Lisin all the opportunity in the world over the last dozen games, including 1st line and PP time.
And can we PLEASE stop overreacting every time the lines are shuffled? Notice how lines generally tend to stay the same when the team is winning / playing well, but when the team is losing and struggling to score, that's when a coach should be shuffling.
I hope for JT's sake that this was just a Practice Scenario and nothing else.
Brashear has been more of a detriment out there even when just getting 5 minutes. Imagine 10... Jesus.
We'll see tommorow...

There is no way in hell moving Brashear up a line and giving him more ice time is going to improve this team.
None, 0%.
If this move was made with that hope in mind then Torts is truly desperate and starting to panic.
Lisin is playing with a broken bone in his foot. Lisin has an easier time skating than walking. Cut the guy some slack.
exactly the kid has shown heart, which is more than can be said for most of this team. that being said, he doesnt have the finish to be a first line player. It was a stretch at best but theres no way on gods green earth he should be overlooked for brashear. Hopefully it was just one of Tort's practice mind games, if that line sees the ice i would anticipate a hearty amount of boo's instantly.
