Great. Great great game !

There are so many positives I'll give the only negative : too many errors when trying to get the puck out of the zone.

Aside from that and the Gomez possible injury –*was it the same he has been carrying for a few games ?

MAB was awful early on (the slightest pressure applied by a forechecker made him shake with fear) but he made a few good plays in the second half of the game.

Everyone else had a tremendous game, some players more than others.

Hamrlik and Spacek get my utmost respect tonight (as they do pretty much every night).
Plekanec was just inspirational and has finally got the quality wingers he deserves. Akost is just terrifying when he's on. The same goes for Price.

Too little, too late unfortunately. It will be hard for anyone to usurp Marc Andre Fleury at the moment, even though Fleury got bombed last night. You cannot suggest that a good one month stretch is enough to overcome Fleury's playoff performances the last 2 years.

And whether we agree or not, Brodeur and Luongo are locks. Mason and Ward have also fallen out of contention.

You got to love Mara in front of the net, the last player that mean was Souray. At one point he hold off two Caps... now that's something we needed.

Habs are now 10-4 against the east... makes one wonder. Last season they had the second best record in the east against the west. This year, its the opposite. Fine though, we play 64 games in the east.

Oh, and we played almost half our games against the west already.. will be half after the Detroit game.

In the off season i thought this was going to be a deciding year in Pleky's career and fortunately for the habs and fans, he has returned to the form of 2 years ago. Albeit only 22 games, he sure is a pleasure to watch again.

Tough game. Bending but not breaking however its scary watching how big and fast the Capitals are. They are very difficult to play against and doesn't even include Ovechkin. Guys like Fehr, Steckel, Laich are beast who are good skaters and strong.

Hammer and Space Goat were great.
OB solid in his return.
Please bring back Leach. MAB is a useless turd.

Depending on a Gomez injury, it could get bad. We will see? If its the case i wonder if you see a return to center for Cammalleri

I can't believe we were crying about souray on the defensive zone, MAB, having the same role on the PP, is miles away from souray, same thing for streit

Great team win. Kostitsyn and Pleks were awesome tonight. However, MAB needs to go. I'm ready to sacrifice whatever offense he brings to get him off the ice. He's just too much of a liability right now.

Enough with the negativity though, a great win and a confidence builder for a team that needed it. Good to see Cammy pot one, it had been a couple games.

Awesome win tonight, to shut down Alexander the great is no small task for any team, but for a banged up team missing a norris trophy type defenceman, this was awesome. I want you all to join me as we raise our beverages to salute Roman Hamrlik and Jaroslav Spacek, CHEERS, two 35 year olds to do this was amazing, I loved their composure all night long, he was frustrated by the coverage and could not score. Once again CHEERS.

OB's presence, as a rare righty, brings more balance to the D. And the kid is playing a good game. If Markov was also there, this team could be very good on defense, even better than they were tonight.

We were the only team with 13 (13-5) wins against the opposite conference last year, so #1

With Gomez out, it'll be interesting to see if Pleks will still be monster playing against the top Ds.

I forgot another very positive point : Hamrlik and Spacek only played 20 minutes (98% of which against Ovechkin's line).

That's an excellent thing in anticipation of tomorrow's game.

JM's line matching was almost perfect tonight, for an away game.

Well, I usually rather look at points, which represent win%, and if I'm not mistaken, the Devils had the best win%. Anyway, its all the same. The point remains.

Marty and Luongo aere locks, but I'm not so sure that Fleury is a lock for the 3rd spot. Definately the frontrunner though.

Plekanec was awesome. Price was awesome. The entire team was awesome tonight (with the exception of some). Great to see. Hopefully, we carry the momentum in to tomorrow night.

Amazing coaching job by JM. Hammer topped in at 20:22 TOI. That's unreal, especially considering who we played tonight.

Fleury doesn't have a that great season. with a save % under .900. However, I agree he should be up there with Luongo and Brodeur for Vancouver.
