Hamrlik is very impressive playing those big tough minutes. Big kudos to him. I don't know how long he can keep this up at his age, but he played a whale of a game !!!

Good to see Patches showing some flashes in the O zone.

Great win. Fun game to watch too ! Wish more teams were as entertaining as the Caps are.

Different Pens game from last season. The Kosty hat-trick/Price domination 3-2 win at Pittsburgh was on December 27th. A Saturday night.

The other one was a 5-4 loss on a Thursday in February, although the Pacioretty-Plekanec-Kostitsyn line was great that night too. Then Kovalev came back the next day from his 1 week vacation and Carbo broke that line up.

And I believe the Caps aren't too shabby at home either. I think they had a 10 game home win streak going.

From Habs I/O Pleks line:

Pleky: goal, assist, 20:36, 5 shots, 1 hit, 4 blocked shots, 52% on faceoffs.

Great getting O.B. back. He made a huge difference. He played 16 minutes and played physical. Solid game by all the D tonight (except MAB, of course.).

Kostitysn - Patches were great.

Cammy was playing with everyone tonight. I mean he's alone guys. Gomez isn't playing well and Gionta is out, yet he still picked up the winner and made a nice play on the first goal to tie it.

Great all round effort by the guys.

So, so happy.

Well, if I recall, it was on an icing.

The play I hated was putting OB and MAB with Lappy right after the 2nd goal... that lead to a stupid hooking penality.

Unless you're in a crucial situation, you can't start removing Laraque all the time.
At some point, you need to trust your players and Laraque is not necessarily bad defensively.
If it's at the end of the third with an empty net with only a 1 goal difference, then I understand.

L'Antichambre giving kudos to O'byrne for how he played tonight. Showed some nice clips of O'Byrne flattening guys in front of the net

2 mins in the 1st period, youre losing 1-0 already, I think its a pretty crucial point in the game. You cant go down 2-0. I rather see someone else on the ice at that point

Gotta be at work again in less than 8 hours, but I caught the finish to the game and what a finish it was.

Glad to see Moen get another goal, this guy could be on pace to get career highs and has been a great signing. He's doing better than I thought.

Cams and pleks are tanks. Price is playing fantastic.

The Laraque - Erskine fight wasn't much... though Erskine did the right thing by tackling Laraque. At least he got into a fight.

Sounds like spacegoat and Hammer did well from how excited Pierre was talking about them.

Hopefully we have another strong game tomorrow and everything is ok with Gomer. I get to watch this game as I'm done work at 3, but who knows, I might get too cared away from Call of duty modern warefare 2.

I hope Latendresse doesn't complain about his ice time. If he does he should look at Andrei who decided to play well in order to get some after being benched for a few games (AK played 17mins tonight ). I think JM likes to use 3 lines so the bottom two lines better play well or the worst gets benched.

Out of all the good things tonight, for me the most important is the fact that Kostitsyn is slowly playing better and better and gaining confidence. You could see he's starting to carry the puck more, takes more shots. He really has the biggest upside for the Habs..if he could get it going full force he really has the potential to give us two good scoring lines. Let's hope he could keep it up!
