The Kings captain, first line center, top two defensemen, and #1 goaltender have zero big regular season game experience, let alone playoff experience. As far as I can tell, they're the only team in the league in that situation. That's a big reason why we never really know which Kings team is going to show up from game to game. We don't know how they'll react to different situations, because they don't even know.

This is a game where the Kings seem to get out-competed. They're not strong enough on the puck, along the boards, on special teams, etc. They need to come out with some type of life, some sort of emotion. An afternoon home game against a team that is right there with you in the standings. They have to show up.

Quick blew it but it's not a good start for SoD. Two shifts and in one he screened his own goalie and didn't attack the carrier which led to a goal and one was a terrible shot into a player 10 feet in front of him which led to a Flames rush.
