Getting a point after that having 6 penalties in first against Detroit is huge for the team, good job battling back after being down. Oh yeah and we were without Gomez, Gionta and Markov.
Hey , that was a terrific effort. Outside the first period penalty trouble -- two five on threes! -- they played even with if not a bit better than the Stanley Cup finalist of the past two years. And Price is really id-ing himself as a star. ( You think Tretiak could beat D. and Z. one on one in a shootout?) Now if they only had their top defenseman and two thirds of their top line back....
I really thought we'd win this one, but our team is playing slid defense and Price is fantastic lately. I like the way our team is playing right now. 3 out of 4 points from a back to back against Washington and Detroit. I'll take it. Despite the whole first period on the PK the team gave the sense they could still win the game. Great feeling to have. Keep playing this way boys.
Gritty comeback...our lack of PP's is really beginning to annoy the **** out of me though.
It's insane what's going on in that department, we're taking so many of them and getting so few. It makes no sense with our roster for that to happen, which leads me to believe it's going to even out at some point and we'll have a game with 8 or 10 PP's.
Considering the first period. I'll take it. Thought Wings were going to shut us out but instead a new number one line emerged: Cammy-Pleks-Andrei. If we ever get Gionta and Gomez back, we may end up with two scoring lines. Patches/Metro/Moen = solid 3rd line, with Pyatt/White making up 2/3rds of our 4th line. D'ago fits somewhere in there too.
Good game. The Habs showed a lot of character and heart in coming back and in all those PKs in the first.
