I am so damn sick of the "upper/lower body injury" crap. It is an insult to the fans and media.

as fans, we have a right to know the nature of the injury. There is absolutely no reason to not reveal them.

Or maybe they don't want other teams knowing what the injury is so that when the player returns, they're not targeted where they were injured...

Well, there is always a reason not to reveal the nature of the injury to the other team. As has been mentioned previously by other posters and Rich Hammond, the other team can/will target the particular area where the player has been injured.

that's BS imho, I highly doubt that other teams a) really don't know what the injury was and b) specifically target injuries with intent to re-injure

Hockey is the only sport that does this BS.

Am I the only one who wants to see Schenn given a shot? I know it's a bit crazy, but the guy was a stud in camp.

No it's not BS. You were the one who was surprised that Quick had a dip in his mouth after a game so I'm not really surprised you don't believe this either.

He can't be called up this season.

Yes he tore it up, but DL and Co want him to develop in juniors and be brought on gradually. Of course the converse approach is being demonstarted in Denver where Duchene is having a very good rookie year and contributing to Colorado's phenomonal start.

I think Loktionov will get the call before Schenn.

And one Question: Does the injury bug that has hit the Kings highlight a lack of team depth right now? I'm not saying anything, Just asking. (well maybe I am saying something . . . .)

I predict Brad Richardson scores his first goal as a King before the month is over.

I can't see Schenn not making the club next year. Heck, he should have made it this year. If the kings move Stoll sometime this year or beginning of next then it's a pretty safe bet that Schenn will be his replacement.

As for Lokti, I can see him at manchester for another season.

I say Jack Johnson. His skill set is perfect for a center role. great skater, can carry the puck across the blue line. can come back to play d. f it.

Schenn can't be called up. He'll make the team next year, absolutely. He could have made the team this year, because he's gritty enough to play a strong fourth line role with limited minutes. However, DL thought it would be better suited for his development if he played a leading role with the Wheat Kings as they host the Memorial Cup this season, and I completely agree.

As much as I'd like to see Loktionov get the call, Moller will.

This team is in a lot of trouble right now with injuries to its second line center, first line LW, and top four defenseman.

And we could also double shift the NHL's leading scorer too! LOL!
