Maybe Kalinski would be a better fit for the 4th line. Also I know people dont really want Giroux at center on the 3rd line with Maroon or Laliberte (even though Maroon could probablly put up points) Giroux has looked 100% better when back at center.

Nodl has looked invisible.
I would be all for this. Man, this is going to be a long month or so.

ouch, that giroux line is REALLY young. as much as i like to think what maroon and giroux could do together, i'd worry about overloading giroux with rookies when he's so young himself. talk about putting pressure on a kid.

Yea that is a problem when you lose alot of older guys. Any way you look at it though we are going to have a young team... unless they decide to call up Ward and leave Cote

These are not guys who will be good replacements for a whole month unfortunately. I think we're going to be hitting a bit of a rough patch guys.

Those are actually the 2 guys you want, because they'll be playing 4th line minutes for us. Maroon and Matsumoto are not guys you want playing 6 minutes a night for the next month.

They will be playing 5 mins per game for us cause we cant trust them for longer. Prepare to run to the ground our other players. You want players who can play for more then 5 mins. You get Matsumoto and Maroon one, I for one will trust them more.

Your 4th line typically plays around 8 minutes. That's not the kind of time I want to give to Matsumoto and Maroon, just to plug in holes for a month. I want those guys playing, and I want Ross and Nodl, as guys who have done it, to do it. Matsumoto is a guy you call up if Richards or Carter gets hurt.

DENVER – A disappointed Blair Betts said Sunday afternoon that he is going to see if there is a more restrictive shoulder harness to prevent his right shoulder from dislocating in the future.

The Flyers’ center reached his arm up in the air Saturday in Phoenix to get a puck and dislocated his shoulder for the second time this season. He and Darroll Powe will both miss 4-6 weeks.

Betts says he blames himself for the injury. He said he’s been told in the past not to fully extend the damaged shoulder upward because it makes him more susceptible to a dislocation.

They dont need to play 4th line minutes. Put them with Giroux they get around 10+. Matsumoto with Lappy and Carcillo wont get under 4 mins

OK, play your 3rd and 4th lines say...15 minutes a piece. And then the top 2 lines also only play 15 minutes, just to justify playing time for a bunch of rookies.

If only it was that easy

If Flyers can not replace Betts or Powe for a month to 6 weeks then this team has a problem.

Richards and Carter need to step up.. Even know they are PPG players their d-sive game is waaaaay below average this season. Same goes to Coburn and Timonen. Briere and Hartnell need to play better too.

I wish Stevens would learn how to coach trap.

or when we are down by a goal and on PP but he is playing Pronger and Carle on point. I say wtf are you doing.. Where the **** is Timonen and why is he not playing with Pronger? We need a goal and they are our best. Things like that drive me crazy about Stevens.

Hartnell has been great this season. Might be our most consistent forward

Yes really.. I still want to see at least 80pts this season and I do not want to see those selfish penalties that cost Flyers games.

My first reaction was that it was wrist but when I saw him skate off, I sensed he knew right away it was the shoulder and probably thought "Not again!"

I remember when he came back they showed his undergear, and it included some sort of tether to limit the arm's range of movement. I guess he stopped wearing.

The real question is how does on play effective NHL hockey whilst favoring an arm like that?
