Colin Wilson

Just wondering if anyone knows when Wilson will be back. He looked good when he was out on the ice. Is it his groin again or something else??Thanks

He will play in the AHL before you see him in Nashville again.

Injuerd, but also the victim of "the team got hot while you were away and so we arent going to sit anyone to make a spot for you"

I dont think he'll be down for long though... coaches are referring to it as a rehab stint not an outright demotion.

I think they are still trying to figure out why his groin/leg keeps "acting up". Obviously the non-surgical procedure they tried right out of training camp, did not work.
Too bad. If he was healthy there is no doubt he would have been a factor out there. Must be hard for him to be sitting on the side lines, watching. Hopefully they will figure out this groin thing so we can get him back soon

I agree with sending him down to Milwaukee. He can get lots of minutes in Milwaukee and get conditioned to come back to Nashville.

After spending so much time with the injury - I don't want him to skate with the Preds too soon and get injured again.

Conditioning - lots of ice time - come back to Nashville and kick it into high gear.

I don't have a problem with the CA simply because...who do you take out of the lineup, at this point? I'd be scared to mess with a good thing.

Santorelli, especially with him playing probably the worst game of his (albeit short) career last night.

Yeah, he hasn't impressed me at all this season.

I would like Wilson to spend a couple weeks playing top line minutes in Milwaukee, send down Santorelli and see if Cal can't catch fire like he has down in the AHL for a few games.

The Sunday Tennessean said Wilson was joining the Admirals today.

... Wilson to Milwaukee: Predators General Manager David Poile said Saturday that center Colin Wilson is scheduled to join Milwaukee for the Admirals' game in Houston today. Wilson missed his eighth straight Predators game Saturday with a groin injury. ...

He has never played well against Columbus. I'm not sure why.

As long as he remains 100% on his shootout attempts he has a place with the team.

Doesn't say anything about conditioning so I'm assuming he'll be down for awhile, unless he produces a ton of course.

They said on the postgame last night that this is not a conditioning assignment. He's an Admiral indefinitely, and will get called up or not depending on how he plays.

It isn't a conditioning assignment because he does not have to clear waivers. In any case, I wouldn't expect him to be called up any time soon.

Admiral Short Shifts said he played in Sunday's game and didn't figure in either of the two goals but looked ok.

"Colin Wilson made his AHL debut this evening, after arriving to meet the team around 11am this morning. It was just in time to enjoy the pre-game meal with his new teammates, get a quick nap in, and start cramming Milwaukee's systems into his head. Wilson didn't factor into either of the Admiral goals, but didn't show any rust after missing time recovering from a groin injury."

They also talk about Pickard looking to get a good chance to be the starter. He's 2-0-1 in his last three, and stopped 25 of 26 Sunday night. I think it's cool Wilson gets to play in front of a friend he knows well. Plus some other guys he knows now, to help him get acclimated.

Yeah, I called this a while ago and no one believed me

I'm not glad I was right though. Let's hope he tears the A up and gets back to the big league

Called what? That he was going to get injured for a fairly long time after a very limited number of games played? Without his injury it didn't look like he was going anywhere.

It is disappointing. I see some roles we could really use him. But not until he's healthy again and in shape. Loooking at the schedule he may be there for three weeks. They have a long home stand that ends then. And we go on the road. I'd wager he comes up about that time.

Just read this article this morning. Looks like Wilson is dealing with some pain still from his injury and may need surgery?
Hopefully this problem gets solved, one way or the other because if they can get him 100%, there is no doubt how much he can contribute.

Completely disagree. He was going to Milwaukee regardless IMO. The injury just proves that he probably needs time to get used to the faster paced, more physical NHL. Power forwards take time to develop, there is no point in rushing him.
