Fisher to miss tonight's game

http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports/...782/story.html

Quote:
The Senators recalled Ryan Keller from the Binghamton Senators for their game against the New Jersey Devils Wednesday night.

Keller will in place of Mike Fisher, who is sitting out with an upper body injury. His injury isn't considered serious.

Fisher left Monday's practice early for "maintenance," according to coach Cory Clouston. He wasn't on the ice for the morning skate Wednesday, while Keller was.

The Senators are already without goaltender Pascal Leclaire (fractured cheekbone), left winger Shean Donovan (knee), right winger Alex Kovalev (personal) and defenceman Anton Volchenkov (elbow).

Maintenance, eh?

I can't believe he'd miss a game just to give his hair a day off for conditioner and hair product. Geez!

Just kidding, the new Fisher can do whatever he wants as long as he's producing.

Hey, it's better to laugh about your short comings, than to haul that long face around with you.

If we win, I will be shocked, happy, and speechless.

But if we lose, I won't hit the booze, because that creates dependence on a depressant... We don't want that do we?

Interesting to see that Keller is the first call up.

I wonder how many of us would have just shrugged this off last year. (or very early into this season).

Fisher has stepped it up this year

(BTW I have always been a huge Fisher fan)

hes gonna come back and be on a cold streak for 20 games..... and the day he comes back alfie will get injured... just seems to be our luck as soon as one guy is back another is injured let alone the inevitability of spezza being out for a couple games because we all know he's hurting.

I know you're being sarcastic but why is everyone acting like it is a fact that Spezza is "hurt"? Everyone just keeps saying "I'm convinced Spezza is hurt, he's stretching!" or "Spezza must be hurt, he's not producing like he should!". I'm not sure how it became a fact among Sens fans that Spezza is playing hurt. It's funny because on the one hand you see posters saying "you must not have seen Spezza play this year!! He's working his butt off and backchecking like never before!!", then on the other hand you'll see the same posters saying "oh Spezza is playing hurt thats why he isn't producing!!" So Spezza is playing the best all-around hockey of his career and is also playing hurt? Wow! I don't think any other player on the Sens gets the benefit of the doubt more than Spezza.

He'll probably still have more points than Spezza tonight.

Its all speculation, but to me his skating is an obvious sign. He doesn't seem to be skating with that long stride like he usually does.
