Hossa's return on Wednesday

I am extremely pumped for this game. The Hawks going for eight straight and four in a row on the circus road trip.

Their first game with Hossa in the line up. I wonder how much rust he will have. 1st vs. 2nd in the conference. This is must see t.v., I will have go scale back my black Wednesday festivities.

Predictions?

I'm very interested to see what the top-six looks like. My guess is:

Versteeg-Toews-Hossa
Byfuglien-Sharp-Kane

ESPN is reporting that it will be Kane - Toews - Hossa; with Kane on LW.

With the way Toews and Kaner are playing together, ya gotta keep 'em on the same line (despite the usual line juggling that Q does).

Can we all just agree now that this is not the GDT... Somehow that is always bad luck on here when you post the GDT before midnight.

Otherwise, yes, I can't wait for the game. It seems to be such a long wait still.

This is more of an "Are you ready for Marian "The Librarian" Hossa" thread than a GDT.

As long as we are all in agreement.

For the record, all noobs welcome here. i am hoping we can see out of Hossa, what Leaf fans saw on Kessel's first night, maybe no points, but an early jump, and a good number of shots. That would be nice.

Since Hossa doesn't have to be the "go to guy" I think he'll have a memorable return. He can just play his game without much pressure. When you have Kane, Toews, Sharp, Versteeg, and company you don't feel the extra pressure to contribute.

I'm predicting a lot of goals for this game. Our defense is looking pretty pathetic with Boyle and Blake out, and both yours and our offense is pretty darn good.

This game thread needs some numbers in it, no matter how irrelevant they may be!

How some of the forwards have fared vs San Jose in their careers.

Hossa - 15pts (11g 4a) in 15 games
Toews - 11pts (7g 4a) in 7 games
Kane - 7pts (2g 5a) in 9 games
Versteeg - 4pts (3g 1a) in 4 games
Sharp - 5pts (2g 3a) in 16 games
Byfuglien - 1pt (1g) in 8 games
Ladd - 7pts (4g 3a) in 7 games

Keith and Seabrook are both minuses against them so far in their careers. That's quite a rare thing as they are a combined +106.

Huet vs Sharks - 1-3-1, 4.10 gaa, .852 sv%. Ouch.

And it bears noting that Hossa's 2 goals tonight matches Havlat's goal production through 19 games. . .
