Man, I wish this game was televised in some way that I could actually watch it (Direct TV). The last game was very physical and got nasty. There are a couple guys that are owed some payback, you'd think. This should be a good game.

If i was the blues I'd come out absolutely flying and just wanting to take ppl down. Considering our games with dallas are already very physical i get the feeling this is going to be a very intense game. Here's to hoping for some powerplay success.

Conklin gets the start; Winchester in, Berglund out per Dan O'Neill's "Morning Skate" in the Post-Dispatch.

Good..Maybe this gives Berglund a wake up call ...He was knocked around and off the puck way too much vs. Boston

Am I the only one hoping that Winchester or Janssen gets ahold of Ott tonight?

Ott deserves a bloody nose.

Personally, I think Berglund needs to spend a couple weeks in Peoria, but at least taking a night off may help him. Its probably more of an issue of needing Winchester in the line-up, too. Versus Boston we really missed his large frame and willingness to rough it up. I can't remember too many times the Blues have been outmuscled like they were against Boston. Its like they took the hit and then cowered a bit.

Hopefully there's an internet stream for this. I don't wanna spend
2 1/2 hours at the gym watching a hockey game.

We've done a good job coming back and scoring after the stars go up by a goal, not letting them run with momentum!

When you give the Stars what is, for all intents and purposes, a 5-minute Power Play, the goal is a matter of time, no matter who is in goal. the Blues, overall, just could not clear it.

That Kariya-Backes-Oshie line was insanely good today for you guys. Oshie, especially, I thought. I don't know how ESPN has Oshie credited with only 1 takeaway (I guess takeaway isnt as clear cut a stat as I figured it was) but it felt to me like he had 7. Just crazy good putting the pressure on is that kid.

None of the hits, giveaways and takeaways stats are anywhere accurate. I constantly see fowl ups on game reports.

Finally Murray has given in to JD/Checketts' desire to change the results by changing tactics. If The Blues play like this the rest of the way (storming the net, putting as many shots on net as possible, allowing the defencemen to carry the puck into the offensive zone and also to the net), they will make the playoffs. Much as I think Murray is NOT the coach to take The Blues to the Finals, I'd rather see The Blues make the playoffs, and Murray's job be saved.

Backes looked back in the groove. With these new tactics (letting the forwards and defencemen play aggressively on offence), Backes and the other young players willbe able to contribute much more, while also develop their offensive games at a faster rate.

Kariya, Boyes, Tkachuk and McDonald should be able to contribute better, as well. I hope this style of play keeps up the rest of the season.
