Lewis is injured and hasn't shown anything at the NHL level...Moller was invisible in his brief stay....

I think it is becoming more obvious this year that our most NHL ready prospects are Clifford and Schenn because of how they played in the pre-season agaisnt men.

Play with Ivanans and Richardson and you become invisible. Moller in my estimate is going to get called up tomorrow.

You cant discredit how good he looked at the start of last year though. He looked bad playing on the 4th line, with Petey and the USS Ivanans.

Yeah he also was one of the first cuts this year and was totally invisible...I just think he thinks some time in the pros...Schenn and Clifford on the other hand looked good in the pre-season and looked to fit in with there size and skills.

Any emotional/physical presence would be great to see. . maybe Schenn can spark something in this team, probably not though. . what do you think Quattro?

Brayden Schenn will play tonight, will wear No. 55 and will skate between Frolov and Brown. It’s a one-game deal and he will only stay longer if he signs an entry-level contract, which is still possible.

– Dean Lombardi said he didn’t consider Oscar Moller to be a strong option because the Kings now consider Moller’s future to be as a winger.

– Rob Scuderi and Jarret Stoll are both out for tonight’s game, leaving the Kings — other than Schenn — with the same lineup as last night.

– Doctors finally got Andrei Loktionov’s dislocated shoulder in place last night, and he was able to spend the night in an Edmonton hotel room.

– Jonathan Quick will start in goal tonight.

I don't think it's a good idea to play Quick back to back.

This geography discussion brings up the question of why our top farm team is about as far away as they could possibly be from the parent club?

Murray - you're an idiot - put Ersberg in there. Why is this coach intent on overworking our goaltender? He was just getting into a zone.

I'm guessing that since they were able to Andrei's shoulder back in and he spent the night in the hotel, there was no tear?

With such a beat up roster, I am sure TM wants to try and get as many points as he can until he has a healthy line up once again. I would do the same thing.

Desperate times...

Definitely good news. Not sure if Loki has popped his shoulder out before, but after it happens a few times it isn't a huge issue. I doubt it is as severe as a lot of people here are making it.

He thought the same thing and made the same mistake early in the season. You cannot ride a goaltender like that, as young as Quick is, this much.

Have you dislocated your shoulder before? It gets worse and worse the more it comes out. Particularly if you don't rehab it properly it can become weaker and pop out much easier.

I've only popped mine once, but my dad has dislocated his shoulder several times the point where it popped out in the middle of a backswing on the golf course and required surgery.

I have to agree. Really Ersberg should have started last night, but I can also see the logic behind starting the #1 when the roster has been shaken up as much as it has recently.

It's really baffling how Ersberg has not started atleast 2 or 3 more games.

Seeing as the kings had 3 days off prior to last night's game, I think Quick should be ok on a back-to-back game. It's basically, 2 games in 5 days.

In each of our last 3 victories, we have lost a player to injury. Scuderi in Tampa, Smyth in Florida, and now Loktionov in Edmonton. All on the road, too. If that is what the Hockey Gods want, then so be it.

I propose the following:

1) The sacrificial offering of one prospect per game for the rest of the season. Their ritual injuries will clearly ensure victory.

2) For conservational purposes, we should probably only do this before games against the West. Perhaps only divisional games in order to maximize efficiency.

3) As the prospect pool thins, we shall need to do two things. First, sign more prospects. Second, as the quality of our sacrifices shall become reasonably shoddy by the New Year, we will need to sacrfice more at a time, which will necessitate even more scouting and prospect signing. This is what Lombardi REALLY meant by success through the draft.

Accept our humble gift, o Wrathful Hockey Gods.
ABORT! ABORT!

re: Ersberg

I agree with Zad. If DL/TM doesn't have faith in EE, then he shouldn't be on the roster. We need a backup that can take some of the pressure off Quick. Surely there's a decent veteran backup available somewhere.

I'll go ahead and post it again... www.hockeystreams.com.

It will cost you $5 for one day for $8 for a week. If you would've bought a week yesterday, you would have no problem today. They also have higher quality streams for a dollar or two more. It is better quality than most of the atdhe.net streams (they used to be much better) and sopcast etc.

There is a thing on there so you can preview the quality if you are curious what it looks like.

EDIT: THere is also an archive going back to 2008.
