Although Tampa is dissapointed to have Vinny depart, we feel it is best for Tampa, Vinny and Vancouver. Canucks get a star player with cup experience to take them to the next level. Tampa unloads it's single biggest contract while adding a 1st, a couple very good prospects including Hodgson who wouldn't have much room to grow on one of the top two lines in Vancouver and to mention we add a solid d-man and forward. This also clarifies any doubt and that Stamkos is the #1 centre, the present and future up front. We are excited to have a 1-2 punch down the middle of Stamkos and Hodgson.
