Loktionov Activated / Assigned to Monarchs
http://lakingsinsider.com/?p=1899
Quote:
Andrei Loktionov will have surgery to repair a torn capsule in his shoulder and will be out of action approximately four months, according to Dean Lombardi. It sounded as though Loktionov’s surgery and Thomas Hickey’s surgery will both take place relatively soon.
That's all it says. A shame for Loktionov in his first game.

Oy... half a development season shot.
Time is ticking on him as well.

That is just cruel. He'll be fortunate just to return this season, in other words.

so because he was hurt in an NHL game, will he be recieving NHL paychecks during the extent of his injuries. It would make me feel better for him.

awwwww dang it. **** balls. **** crap dude sucks lick ****** ass.
Atleast the kid seems to have some passion and should be raring to go when he gets back, especially since he was playing well in that one game and not looking the least bit out of place. He'll have 4 months to spend thinking about how well he could have done for the Kings, something that could either hurt him, or, if he lets that desire simmer properly, could help him greatly upon his return.

"Andrei Loktionov has been activated from injured reserve and assigned to Manchester of the AHL, where he should be able to play the last couple weeks of the season, and playoffs. Nobody ever wants to get hurt, of course, but there’s been a little joking about how Loktionov hit the jackpot. He came up and played one NHL game, and now he’s been drawing an NHL salary for four months because he can’t officially be sent down while on injured reserve. Still, Loktionov has been doing his rehab work in Manchester and I’m certain he would rather have been playing."
