They will make a great trade in maybe February. For some guy named Franzen.

There aren't a whole lot of realistic options out there.

Someone in the Trade Rumors thread mentioned that Morrisonn might be available from the Caps, and that seems like one of few smart options in addition to being a Holland-esque trade. He'd be great for Ericsson, and he'd be our 2nd best shot-blocking/hitting Dman on the squad after Stuart. Hes also got just 9 giveaways in 20 games, significantly better than 5/6 of our Dmen.

No thanks. Let's keep Bert.

I do, however, agree with the idea of getting a goaltender. Howard is doing better and better from the looks of it, but Ozzie can't keep pulling this "I'll play well in the playoffs only" act. His glove side is atrocious; he needs to either wake up and play well or be put away in favour of another goaltender.

Osgood won't be traded. Thats the short and long of it.

But damn, I bet there'd be a contender who'd love to acquire him at the deadline irrespective of his regular season numbers. Philly, I'm looking at you.

I know. It kills to hear it. It's the loyalty factor. You have to respect Kenny for it, but it's killing us now.

You'd think that Howard's play would motivate him some, eh?

I think both teams might actually hate this trade...

I certainly wouldn't mind Morrisonn coming to Detroit. I thought Cheechoo was a decent idea, too, just because he would come dirt cheap and the Wings could afford to bury him in the minors if he continued to suck.
