At this rate, Huet will no doubt be in contention for the Vezina. However, taking his inconsistency issues into account, I'm not so sure he could pull it off, unless he's shaken that off, he's bound to hit a rock sooner or later...I sincerely hope not though.
I don't think Huet will be a Vezina contender. There are a lot of goalies who are turning it on this year, like Miller who is just incredible.
It's his first year as a starter, so I think he will do the same thing he did before but with a little improvment than past seasons. I predict he will be strong like he is now during all the winter. Will have little troubles during the olympics period (being average) and will re-start to be great like he is now one month before the start of the playoffs and don't step it down when it will matters.
He was like that in the NHL approximately, and I think it's could be very good. Niemi could play some couple of games when he won't be excellent so he will rest and will have a complete month to take the mental and kick some a** in the playoffs like he did in a game 5 last year.
