Some Monday Afternoon Fun!

I will be back wth another update later on the Montreal rumors and Kovalchuk..

The rumors continue around Carolina who is looking like a team so far out of sync it is scary. the latest is that they have interest in Tomas Plekanec. While I am not hearing who could be heading back to Montreal, two prospects the Canadiens love I am told are Zach Boychuk and Drayson Bowman. Especially Boychuk. Of course the Canes would only move for Plekanec if they knew they could sign him.

Powerful stuff,

Eklund and Hendrickshockey.

Fun read to say the least for a boring Monday afternoon.

Cheers!

yeah a borderline-playoff team is going to trade it's only all-around forward for a couple prospects

maybe 3 or 4 years ago when Gainey's head wasn't under the guillotine

I used to post Eklund rumors, because I thought they were hilarious.

But now? It's not even funny anymore. His "rumors" are so ****ing stupid it just has to make you shake your head and wonder how some people still take him seriously.

There's an Eklund tag.

Use it instead of making me waste 30 seconds looking at the OP and making me post this.

The lowest seeded team will trade two young prospects, one of which is a 14th overall pick, for an upcoming UFA.

Logic alone will cut out 90% of his rumors.

I think the Mods should start giving infraction points when someone posts any rumor out of Eklund.

Still like to dream about Kovalchuk and Montreal. But even the most dreamy fan knows it will never happen so why doesnt he give it a rest.

Don't you understand ? Bob Gainey wants to acquire all the top 10 of the 2005 Draft and ultimately close the plan with the acquisition of Sidney Crosby ! We currently have number 4 and 5, Brule would be the next logical acquisition.

Exactly, I know 99% of these trade rumours will never come true, and I try not to listen to them, but sometimes it's fun to dream.
Just the other day I had Team 990 on for some reason, and McGuire was talking about how he went to Tampa and saw big posters advertising the TBay Lightning and he said Lecavalier wasn't on any of the posters. Then he went on to say something to the effect of both GM's, Montreals and Tampas, would accept a Gomez for Lecavalier trade.
And I know there is no way in hell that would ever happen, but it you start to imagine...

If we don't get Tuomo Ruutu out of Carolina, **** that.

If we don't get at least a pick from the next team Bob wants to trade with, **** that.

Hey, Eklund was dead on about the Latendresse trade, cut him some slack....

Oh right, he wasn't in the loop on that one either.

he called Latendresse for Pouiliot? Because it was public knowledge for some time that Latendresse was being shopped, so "dead on" moreso becomes "safe guess" at that point

He could always Frankenstein him... and add to him at the same time... use players who don't play and are a waste of their natural talents.

Kidnap Pee Dagenais and steal his right arm.
Kidnap Pavel Bure and steal his legs.
Then attach all this to Luc Bourdon's body.

IT'S ALIVE!!!

Obviously, he would be the single biggest misunderstood player by the fans and media. "Frankenstein Player Parties All Night In Mass Grave Robbing"

RIP LB

Well, we kinda with Pouliot. Couldn't have got much better than that for Lats in terms of potential (like a pick).

I have a friend that makes good money writing pet horoscopes for a reputable web page (no kidding). I'm beginning to wonder if he and Eklund are not the same person ... .
