Zach Parise Question

I was just wondering how Zach Parise was doing.. Does it look like he will land a spot on the Devils roster this season. Also does it look like he is ready to contribute and help add a scoring touch to the Devils front lines I am just wondering who they have him playing with any info would be welcome thanks.

Parise isn't participating in training camp this year. JohnFlyersFan mentioned he was in the stands watching some drills last week. He still has college priorities right now.

He starts his 2nd college season next week. He is (I'm sure) waiting to see what happens with the CBA talks before leaving college. He may as well stay for 4 years instead of playing in the minors if their is a strike/lock-out. Plus, his older brother just joined his team, so they will be playing together for the first time in about 7 years.

College kids have to pay all their expenses to stay eligible for the NCAA. Teams can draft them and own them like property. But if you pay for one single Big Mac, all hell breaks loose. Stupid rules.

That was Jessiman in the satnds watching the Rags training camp, which is being held in Vermont where he goes to school.

I doubt Parise would fly down to watch practices at South Mountain.

Parise on the web and the dish

You can catch a free web cast of UND's season opener with Minn/Duluth on 10/4 (registration required). Duluth is probably a boarderline top 10 team this year and this should be a good game. All of UND's games are webcast but most cost $9.00 to connect.

Beyond that, I think that all 4 of UND's games with Minnesota (the NCAA 2 time defending champs and preseason #1) will be televised by Fox Sports North if you have the dish.

All worth seeing to follow Zach's progress.
